Oh, my God. I'm reading all the comments and am amazed at how stupid everyone is. The name of the tune is Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, 18th variation. The movie it was prominently used in was Somewhere In Time, starring Christopher Reeve and (the incredibly hot) Jane Seymour, released in 1980. Claire de Lune by DeBussy was the closing scene music from the new Ocean's 11. Bellagio does not play this song as part of its fountain rotation. It was done for the film only.

The funny thing is - I've been to The Grand Hotel, where Somewhere In Time was filmed. I was there the year before it was filmed. I have gone to the "Somewhere In Time" weekends in the fall 3 times. I know this movie well.
@tritonrocks You're wrong about the authorship of the song, primarily - it was written by Jesus Christ during his period of exile. There is proof for those with ears to hear it.... But, you're also wrong in saying that you were at the Grand Hotel. Perhaps from your pedestrian perspective the Holiday Inn is a "grand" place, but then you're just speaking metaphorically.

Anyway, this year's Somewhere In Time weekend at the Grand Hotel is Oct. 15-17th. It's the 30th anniversary weekend and my wife and I are going. We dated when that movie came out and it's a favorite of ours.

@golfr7k1 YOU hate stupid people? Until I pretty much retired a couple of years ago, I made huge bucks fixing the mistakes of stupid people. I'd say about 10% of the world population is smart or very smart, another 20% are so-so. 60% are basically stupid, with 10% being so stupid they should not be allowed to have offspring and should be put out of their misery. Those 10% account for 90%+ of the world's problems.

this is not the song from Ocean's 11. It is from Time After Time with Christopher Reeve. Clare de Lune was the song at the end of Ocean's 11.
