  • Cute puppy! My black lab is 11 years old now and he's mellowed out a bit. He was just as hyper until he was about 7.

You guys are in for some fun times ahead :) lol

  • The Plasma fall's over and mom comes in, the dog starts pointing at you. lol

  • looks like mine he just turned a year and weighs 71 lbs ....

  • just like my 2 year old. hes nice and well behaved but he can get crazy at times.

  • Very much like our 7 months Boone! Haha.. Black Labs can be very funny..

  • i have 3 labs, and our youngest sully does this. if you ask him"wannna eat" he starts barking and jumping all over.very cute dog btw

  • lol, same cept my labs bout 3 times the lanky size, ruddy mutant labradors gonna eat me outta house and home, least this dog dont wanna eat and steal steel, tin also, ne advice lol?

  • haha... sometimes exactly like my lab :D

  • my labrador(black) does the same thing to me as he? or she did to the women

  • aren't you worried that she'd knock over the TV?

  • is she on her period? my dog does that when I"m on my period..........

  • Think hes just horny

  • A lot depends upon the breeding and genetics. PLEASE get your labradors from reputable breeders, not from pet shops, backyard breeders or puppy mills. Do your homework well, look for a local Lab club in your area for referrals.

  • small dog

  • When we used to get my golden retriver riled up, she'd bolt all around the house a few time. It was pretty damned funny!

  • @kdf017 That's called a butt tuck for obvious reasons. As long as not overdone, normal for a dog that's excited.

  • This video was uploaded to show how energetic, temperamental and playful Labs can be and this behaviour is something some owners can relate to, besides the chewing. Ozzie is now nearly 3 and although he knew every party trick at probably 4 months old, we have never stopped working on him. He is very well behaved, generally and fantastic with kids. Ozzie’s energy levels remain, but that’s nothing 10k run, swim or 100 tennis ball throws doesn’t resolve. A long walk just does not do it anymore!!

  • @ShawbrookDevil Are you kidding? I have black labrador and his name is Ozzy too :D

  • @ShawbrookDevil My dog does the EXACT same thing, but instead of stopping right before that glass door she tries to run through it. But yes, very playful, alot of energy, and very loving dogs. @ 50 pounds she jumps on me thinking she's a 5 pound toy poodle.

  • omg i am so glad i saw this video, i thought my dog was seriously crazy but i guess all labs are hyper.

  • @paulmoktan Not all Labs are hyper. That is a "field labrador" and it's probably the genetics. I have six that live in the home and one "butt tuck" on rare occasion. We save the energy for outdoor runs (not overdone young) in the yard, swims in the pool or long walks. When at a show, they stay in their crate part of the time or sitting ringside with me. Those long skinny legs and tail, slick coat and narrow head are not the Labrador standard. Go to AKC to read the actual standard.

  • @labsrus1 cool, well i have a lab mix with doberman so i have a very hyper dog.

  • @paulmoktan Not all Dobermans are hyper either. They're intellects and need to use their minds or they get very bored.Well bred, they're calm and sweet.Same with labradors, I have two sleeping on my king size bed right now, one is snoring due to a softer palate, the other has her feet up to the ceiling, all four. They could sleep 10 hours like this at ages 2 and 18 months. Then I take them for a good swim in a lake tomorrow.Swimming is the best medicine for a Lab that needs exercise.

  • he needs a walk

  • @Metspart labradors are like this i have one myslef and didnt know what i was gettinmyself into!!lol i wudnt be without him now but hes so energetic more than what i thought he gets loads of attention and walked and he will still be as hyper!its just the way these dogs are and u wont understand that until u have one trust me! i was one of thos people! lol

  • @nurselondon Oh, no lol i completely understand! I have one too - my god! thats all i have to say lol love them tho ;)

  • Black labs are cool. The friendliest animals on the face of this Earth.

  • my dog is exactly like this , same age , same dog , same colour !!

Shes goes maddd , She only wants you to play with her !!

mine is a cheeky lil madam

    Good Luck X

  • do you have a garden? you should think about letting him outside when he's like this

  • So cute

  • You are going to have problems with this dog when it gets bigger

  • I got the Black Labrador end he is got 7 Moth he is very crazy

  • Idk what kind of dog mine is. He looks like this 1 but he got da short gene

  • lol at 0:58

  • Tail Up means dominance!

  • dude my Black Lab is 11 years old and still acts like a nut case xD

  • My black Lab does that aswell, she runs riot and Im always chasing her. Ruby is 6 months and shes mental already lol

  • is it a pure bred or mix?

  • my does that when he sees water, food, his leash, and when i come from school

  • @freshkidlilkec My puppy does that when I pant at him. :)

  • my black 7 month old lab does the same thing every time

  • my black 7 month old lab does the same thing everytime

  • my 7 month old lab /rott mix does tha same thing.....lol

  • OMG ! this is exactly the same as my 7 month black lab, think its in the breed.

  • Yup, my six month old choco will do the same thing. It's all play, but can sometimes get out of hand like in this video. There's a vast improvement now that winter is over and she can get outside and run. Tired lab = much easier to handle.

  • i have a 7 month old black lab and hes like this!!

  • Yep!...just a mental as mine!....your brave, White carpet?!?!?

  • Same age and exactly like mine lol crackers!

  • I think all lab do the same...well all the lab I got did the same thing at on point or an other.

  • I know how you feel, our black lab goes mental too!!! Ozzie your very playful, just like my Blackie!!! LOVE THIS!!!

  • retards

  • He's pretty much a clone of the lab we've just adopted, who coincidentally was also called Ozzie. Currently dealing with the exact same behaviour and hyperness, it's all in play but can easily get painful when his teeth and claws get involved.

As mentioned below, folding your arms and ignoring seems to work. He soon learns that jumping and biting ends playtime. How's he doing now 7 months on?

  • see when the dog tries to bite you like that scream loudly and turn away from the dog, it will soon know that biting you is not a form of playing, my lab was the exact same, took me i think five times of screaming as if she was really hurting me, they learn so easy. look at the black lab video getting a beer out the fridge,
