  • Where did you find the new front of rear spring hangers ? I need to replace mine.

    Thx.

  • @string011 LMC truck

  • @84400 Ha I'm looking at their page right now. Thx.

  • use the grinder grind them off if not use the heat wrench to remove the rivits now that i think of it i need to check mine out if u cant find any i would weld some plate on too if it were mine or make your own

  • doing the same thing you have to go thro the dealer but you can get them and do you know how to get the inner sleeve out of the leaf spring eye already got the rubber part of the bushing out

  • @tunerguy1984 use a cold steel punch and work the edges

  • Sweet truck man! I just did rear spring hangers on my 84 for the same reason, they were rotted out. I bought mine at a local GM dealer, it was much cheaper than going through LMC or something like that. Welding it is an idea...but i think they frown on that if they see it during inspection..? Good Luck!

  • @josh216882000 Thanks for looking. Yeah i replaced them . Wish my local dealer could of got them. they look at me with three heads when i ask for parts for a 77. Your truck will be sweet when done. In my last vid uploaded it shows how the truck sits now.

  • Its called a Spring hanger. My 79 K-20 was so bad it rolled up and around. The flip kit is for the rear shackles. LMC Truck has the part, page 145. $112 bucks for the fucker, but its a real GM part. Somebody on Full Size Chevy forums had a guy do a write up on replacement with bolts. My passenger side is like new, wtf!

  • @hardwoodgoat I would like to see that right up. I drilled my hangers out for larger bolts and bolted it on with grade 8 bolts. I used to go on Full Size Chevy but did not like it so much. Now I used CK5 or 67-72chevytrucks

  • You could weld it, when it stops raining... the rivets are hard to remove...JUNK!!! I have to ge get ready for a ride to the country... L8r, CW

  • @CORVAIRWILD yeah ended up knocking all the rivits out and replacing with grade 8 bolts and new hangers. It can all be seen in my newest vid. Thanks for the tips

  • GET OUT OF THE RAIN!
