I agree with Deadfreeeak. Try glass or porcelain. I bought a pocelain slide to do the same slide part and it sounded alot better than brass. Also, if your Digitech has "volume swell" try that. You have to work with the timing a little, but it sound great. Keep up the good work.
What effect do you have?? When i play it, it doesnt sound good - when i use the pick. Its just too 'hard' pick attack. Do i have do use attack swallow technique or something? Any effect?
You should try playing the Poles Apart solo. In my opinion, the best Pink Floyd guitar solo there is.

Nicely done! Give it a try with plucking the strings at the same time with your fingers. It'd sound great, you've got a great tone.

I use the multi-effects pedal "Digitech GNX-1".
In order to swallow the attack, I use the volume pedal by muting the pick attack and play the open chords only.
