Sick, I never really got into As I Lay Dying, they dont sound that bad.

Don't get into them, they suck just like every other nu-metal and metalcore band. If you know anything about music theory you'll recognise that all their songs are done in the same key using the same scales, and generally these kind of bands just shred up and down scales and do predictable sweep patterns in their solos. The vocals suck too, they are just typical "cookie monster" vocals - There is nothing innovative about As I Lay Dying or any similiar band, they all sound the same and they suck.
