I watched the coors video. It's very solid karaoke. Their version is polished, even keeled, professional, and completely characterless. Good for them. I'd love to get paid a lot of money to do bland covers of other peoples music then I wouldn't work for a living and I'd have all day to write music. That would be awesome. I just don't feel the coors' version. What can I say about Stevie Nicks that hasn't been said. She is awesome.
Aaaaah this is brill, her looks her voice her presence she has it all, who cares if she put on weight and was drugged up. She is gold and always will be an eternal flame that will never burn out.
About 5 years ago, some radio disc jockeys were picking fun at Stevie for putting on weight. I found out recently that she was 28 in 1975. This means that, five years ago, she was 58 years old, and looked better than me now at 38. Dumbass men, expecting a woman to look like a girl when she's a crone.
@anastasia81472 I HATE when people focus on an artists wieght and image. Let her voice speak for itself, I say. Imagine if she stopped touring because she was self conscious? That'd be such tragedy! *sigh* I love her no matter what. Stupid ageist society!
Hey, if I were a singer, and I was ALLOWED to sing and record ANY Stevie Nicks song, I'd so sing it! The Corrs version is very pretty, but I'm not too crazy for the strings. Yet, that's what makes it a Corrs song. I do think that whatever version of this song you hear first and decide to like, nothing else will please you. So I'll always go out of my way to hear any Stevie song no matter who sings it, but I just LOVE Stevie the best that's all.
1. the corrs are an irish band from the 90's and 00's, based loosely on a combination of modern music with traditional irish music.
2. They site one of their main influences as Fleetwood Mac, and on some one of the anniversaries their new album at the time shared with the rumours album, they recorded dreams with a mixture of strings of irish fiddle, tin whistle, bodhrán (a small irish drum), and of course, the guitar, bass and drums.
Sweet version, but sadly doesnt do the original justice.
I heard an interview w/ Stevie saying she had a bad cold when she had to sing this in the studio, yet she sang it so beautifully. She also said that, "when the rain washes you clean you'll know," refers to when a Native American dies, and the first rain happens, her spirit moves onto the spiritual world. So it metaphorically means moving on. I got to see Fleetwood Mac in concert this year, and it was the best live performance I've seen of them ever. I just love this song! Thanks for posting!

Stevie Nicks is always good and I certainly had several Fleetwood Mac albums. However, Every video I see of this song is missing something. I like the Corrs version better. Sorry.
I grew up on Fleetwood Mac via MTV in the early 80's in East Lansing, Michigan. This is the most authentic posting on youtube for this song. What a beautifully written song and wonderful band.
Uhhhh..... Joey Jordison actually listen to this.... I thought it was metal;/ Cant understand why Joey - God of metal-drums listen to this;( It is sad!;'(
Because most musicians that are worth a crap listen to many different types of music. Joey is probably old enough to remember hearing this a lot when he was a kid much like me.
It is old that's obvious.I like you information & how you describe your interpretation of what was going on with Stevie and Lindsey. They always wrote songs in resentment at each other. That is what is cool. They couldn't communicate to each other any other way then;except by writing songs. They were so much on drugs and the members of the band were all alcoholics. Man how can you have any kind of Relationship with all that TRAUMA & DRAMA!LOL,dj,DEB 8/20/08
thank you the comments in the sidebox are very sensitive this is one of my all time fav songs and really i think Rumours will be my alltime fav album again thank you Blaid

You can't beat her vocals in the late 70s. So raw and emotional. I adore her.

yeah, she's raw beauty in it's purest form.

actually Stevie purposely missed a high C because it put too much of a strain on her voice

What do you mean about that you're not crazy about strings? They're wonderful! :)

I like the original without them, but The Corrs does a wonderful rendition.

1. Who are The Corrs?
2. That is what's wrong w/ todays artists. They can't come up with their OWN material, they have to COVER the greats from the 60's, 70's and 80's.
