Andy Kaufman & Rodney Dangerfield were brilliant together. 2 very different funny guys. Alone they were funny, put them together they make quite a comedy team, Even though Andy never considered himself a comedian, he always considered himself a song & dance man.
Rodney Dangerfield and Andy Kaufman...let me tell you, that as a bloke from the UK , these two are as funny as it gets from this period in the U.S...heck from any period.
@maatt2413 I don't really see any evidence of him suffering. Him looking sad and uncomfortable during his speech was just part of the act, but if you watch him afterward while Rodney Dangerfield did his schtick he was completely professional and fully participated. Which all the more makes me believe when he acts out at other times it's just part of his act.
@maatt2413 Perhaps Andy didn't like it, but Tony Clifton use to open for Rodney and would get the crowd to the point they were throwing beer bottles. I mean, just consider the character behind the soft mannered image.
geart video..I love the ending thanks...LOL

Call it Hokey or silly but, When was the last time you saw anything that good on TEEVEE lately?
Seems like everything good is gone. We had Johhny Cash and Bob hope. Now we got no Cash or Hope.

Andy and Rodney both really respected and liked each other. That was Andy's performance, he loved to appear uncomfortable or awkward.

People stop comparing Dangerfield to Kaufman, i mean Rodney was the best at what he did. So was Kaufman. don't waste your time comparing the two.

I had the feeling that Andy,.did not like this show...you can see him "suffering"...the lines, the performance...

This special was made the year he was diagnosed with cancer, I think. Maybe he didn't feel well. *shrug*

@maatt2413 I don't really see any evidence of him suffering. Him looking sad and uncomfortable during his speech was just part of the act, but if you watch him afterward while Rodney Dangerfield did his schtick he was completely professional and fully participated.
