This is wonderful I love seeing this. Thanks for posting. the 800 is truely my favorite event and one of the TOUGHEST events on the track.

IMO Coe's run was FASTER than Rudisha's recent WR. Track surfaces have changed SO much since Coe ran his 1.41.73, that on today's quicker surfaces, I'm sure his time would equate to under 1.41.

That's the problem with WR's etc, they are NOT run on the SAME surface, or even with the same shoes, from generation to generation. Tbh, I doubt Bolt is any quicker than Owens, and imo, on a cinder track with less grip, would in fact struggle to get his massive frame going.
