Co2 cartridges at airsplat are 50¢ each online... The shells for a 12 pack are about $12.50 for flash and frag. If your really serious about airsofting, then I recommend getting 24 frags, 12 flash and 36 Co2 cartridges. This will last you a long time and you don't have to pay for shipping over $50 bucks at airsplat! That's $73ish (plus tax) but worth it. Get rid of flash if you don't wana spend that much...

Just ordered a few of these for my team from airsplat. Using the actual pineapple grenades for frags is effective, 15-20 bbs max for good stopping power. I will be posting videos of us very shortly using a Thunder B frag and other vids of our training.

A teammate of mine has these, and they are VERY loud! But, he prefers his tornado because one, you can get a distraction kit for them, or use them as a fragmentation device, and the thunder b's are very unreliable. For the first few times, the thunder b would go off after a couple seconds (like it should), but after that they became very dangerous to handle because they can detonate prematurely and cause bruising, and even cut up your hand! I have the tornado grenade and I am switching to this. You don't need to load bbs so if it malfunctions you don't get spewed with bbs. I shoot a lot of real firearms so a bang from this isn't bad(I have heard them before). Its very cheap, so if you lose it, it's not a big deal. If you lose the tornado, well that REALY SUCKS. Plus, the tornado(crash impact) is annoying and takes REALLY LONG to reassemble, which isn't very practical, this on the other hand is very practical.

@kratos85 no. you could but it doesnt work so well.... but what does work well is a little bit ob baby powder makes a nice smoke /cloud around the grenade when it goes off or if you wanted..... fresh ground pepper and flour :) ouch

@shootermike395 actually it wont do anything to your hand unless you be a complete idiot and hold it as tight as you can with both hands (which would only leve a bruise anyways).... I was playing a joke on my friend, and he picked it up to throw it back, and it exploded in his hand. It was only very loud lol. There wasn't even a bruise...

@theblackcats727 Yeah my friend was useing it in a war and it ripped through his glove(he had 2 on one hand) when it blew in his hand.I dont know how you used it.But the people i play with dont operate them exactly how it tells you too cause that way just sucks.What we do is remove the spoon and bang the top of it on a wall,etc.(to make that peice puncture the co2). Wayy better effect

Hah... the one my friend had was fun while it lasted, but when he brought it to an OP (had it loaded w/ the hammer back for 8 or so hours before use) it didn't blow. The spring was weakened to the point of it being un-usable...

If only there were replacement springs available for about $3, then this would be my favorite toy.

@sd07biker Placing anything in the grenade will make the grenade fuse last longer than the normal 3 to 5 seconds. In addition, placing bb's in them will not have the desired affect since the bb's will explode out the side that the hole is therefore, not getting a good 360 degree blast radius.

How does putting things inside increase the amount of time it would take to explode? It would decrease the volume the CO2 has to fill, thereby increasing pressure for any given time interval. That being said, you're right, they suck for shooting anything out of them, as this is NOT what they were intended to do.

These are awesome. They work great as distraction devices, especially the flashbang shells, which are much louder. And trust me. they are REALLY loud. This video does not show the 130db as it really is. Highly recommended.

The shells are the only part of the grenade that is single use (and very cheap to replace), the main assembly is reusable.

The durability of the shells was mentioned because we were surprised at how tough they were. They appear fragile at first glance.

We love Tornado grenades, but they are a bit pricey for some players. The Thunder B's are a great alternative for someone who doesn't want to spend $100 for a grenade.

@o0AirsoftExtreme0o But tornados are a one time investment. These shells add up since they're a constant cost AND, it's an entire 12G CO2 for each detonation. On top of that, you're out of luck if Thunder Bs go out of stock or go under, where there's nothing to replace on a grenade like the Tornado.

@Christianmarquez this thing beats the tornado by 100 times this is mostly used as a distraction grenade since it is louder then a fighter jet taking off over ur head but u can use bbs in here but u have a 50 50 chance of it not coming out the way u want these are 150 decibals the sound flash ones and the pineapple ones are 120 or 130 cant remember
