Hi, sorry for the wait.

-My video is of CoD2. United Offensive is an expansion to the first CoD. It's a great game for sure -- I loved it. So CoD2 is a year or so newer than UO.

-Yes, gameplay is nearly identical.

-Graphics are very similar between CoD2 and OU, but I'd say CoD2 is slightly better in graphics since it's a bit newer.

-If i recall, the enemies fall similarly between CoD2 and OU. Probably about the same, but I'm not sure.

no, but that is one of the reasons I love this game. pure skill with a gun, no overpowered vehicles.

Well it's been quite a while since I played last, but if I had to guess, I'd say there's a considerable crowd still playing.

Be warned though, there are a lot of really skilled players on there.

Yeah man, there are quite a few servers and players on it still. The remaining players are quite good, mostly die hard fans of the older games. I recommend playing it.

World at War? That was one of the worst CoD games ever. WaW and CoD3 were terrible since they were developed by Treyarch, not IW.

The older CoD games are simple and straight to the point. Best display of skill. No kill streaks, helicopters, dogs, nothing like that.

Not trashing the new CoD games at all though. I played MW and I currently play MW2.. but I do believe CoD1 and 2 take more straight up skill.

yes, make sure that you are not on "local" or something of that sort. Make sure that it is set on Internet. Once it does find games, it will list all kinds (hundreds) of current games that you can click on, then press "join server," which will join that online game. Make sure you have an active internet connection too, before you open CoD.

Cod2 is my favorite of the series. It's very much like Cod4, which is also a good game. I don't like WaW very much. It just doesn't really feel like a CoD game to me.

u may be right thing is i have reinstalled it and it still wouldnt work. i installed it to a junk PC that i have (of course it didnt work on crapy PC) and when it got done installing it came up with a page saying purchase Call of Duty 2 or free 1 hr trial and down at the bottom of the page it said "already paid" i clicked it and then it said " you may now enjoy Call of Duty 2 Multiplayer" and a bunch of other stuff and on this PC it didnt come up with that page at all. thx 4 all the help :)

Well, I guess you have internet since you are able to post here. Maybe, if you have a firewall enabled, it might be blocking CoD2 from connecting. Try disabling it if you have one, even Windows Firewall.

hmm. first lets try something else.

when you get on cod2 and go to multiplayer, if you press refresh, it should search for all the servers online right now. Make sure it isn't set on local (meaning only computers in your house on your network). All these options should be on the multiplayer screen in Cod2.

Well there's the first problem. We need to get it to even load before trying to worry about online. The first thing that comes to mind is reinstalling the game. Maybe when you installed it, something messed up.
