Very pretty! I also like your attitude towards snakes. To many people hurt/kill snakes of any kind (even the non venomous sort) simply because they are snakes.
I've known young rattle snakes can't control the venom quantity since I was a young boy scout. I wasn't bit. I also know that when they are stretched out they can hardly strike far in the direction they're facing. Hence, a long stick. I wouldn't have picked it up if I wasn't fairly safe. I took some pictures, shot this short video & then let the snake go on it's way -in a direction away from where it may be discovered by someone more likely to stone it to death (just because it's a snake.)

You know baby rattlers are more dangerous than adults, They don't know how to control the amount of venom
