I understand what you mean. I started making my own hair butter out of shea butter coconut oil, and hotsix oil. I also started shampooing with black soap. It does wonders to keep my hair soft.
Really nice texture. Isn't it funny that you can really fall in love with your hair?! I know I have. I just LOVE the way it feels. I can always see the front, but sometimes I just get the mirror and look at the back to see the waves and coils. Everytime I pass a mirror, I look at my hair and think "what took me so long to chop that permed mess off."
