1) There is NO strong evidence that CO2 does drive global warming. If it does then it is not really known by how much.
2) there is a coloration between atmospheric CO2 and climate, it makes sense that when the planet gets warmer the sea can't hold all it's CO2 and has to offgas.
3) There is nothing unusual about the current climate change, it's happened before.

Actually it's more complex than that, and increased CO2 = increased biomass = more CO2 absorption.
The sea and the biosphere inhales and exhales CO2, so to speak, there are many factors which effect how much it takes in and lets out. Certainly more plant life = more CO2 absorbtion.

Biomass will increase but just like we have no evidence that it increased in the past enough to mitigate high levels of co2 we have no reason to believe it will increase enough to mitigate the high levels we are creating. And in the past the biomass had 800 years to catch up.

GW cannot be measured in such short time frames, and it has definitely been hotter in the previous interglacial without our help.

In my view we'll make the change as extracting such fuels becomes economically enviably against alternatives.
My real problem is not what we are harvesting, but how we are polluting, and destroying the environment!

Looking back at the past 4 interglacial over the past 420,000 years we see that:-
1) Temperatures peaked higher than they are today by around 2 to 4c.
2) Warming occurred at least as rapidly as it has over the past 50 years.
3) CO2 level were 280ppm peak.
Given that those points are true... how can you show that the additional CO2 causes increased temps today?

fieldzee09, I'm not a scientist, but I work with computers and I understand a lot about science. Here is what I think.
1) There is NO strong evidence that CO2 does drive global warming. If it does then it is not really known by how much.
2) there is a coloration between atmospheric CO2 and climate, it makes sense that when the planet gets warmer the sea can't hold all it's CO2 and has to offgas.
3) There is nothing unusual about the current climate change, it's happened before.

Actually it's more complex than that, and increased CO2 = increased biomass = more CO2 absorption.
The sea and the biosphere inhales and exhales CO2, so to speak, there are many factors which effect how much it takes in and lets out. Certainly more plant life = more CO2 absorbtion.

The fact that these "scientists" won't release the original data and processing algorithms pretty much says it all. The Anthropogenic Global Warming Hypothesis must be supported by data and subjected by review by anyone who asks. Unfortunately for the Global Warmers, McIntyre seems to demolish AGW with every dataset he gets his hands onto.

I don't take sides I look at the facts. Right now there is nothing unusual about the current interglacial except the extra CO2 we put into the atmosphere, which strangely seems to be having NO effect. (so far).
But seriously, to state crap like it's snowing so it must be cooling is so ridiculous. If you want to understand climate change you have to look over 1,000's if not millions of years.

i hear what you're saying. I personally don't believe in AGW. Maybe GW was happening but I attributed it to natural climate change. now I see a cooling trend. which i attribute to natural climate change.

Show one data set that agrees with your statement about the last 9 years. It had better be a global average, and from satellite or other source to maintain neutrality in light of the "urban weather station issues"
The problem is, you can't. It was cooler. Solar cycle 24 is just kicking off and will warm things up...although it is forcast to be a weak solar cycle much like 23 was.

If you want to do science, you'll have to do a bit more than repeat what you've read in the newspapers or at the Huffington Post.
