Alright, honestly?

GX was absolute bull, no doubt there, though many of the characters/concepts would have been cool if any EFFORT had been put into writing it.

5Ds... started good, went for twenty-six solid episodes of awesome, and then the writers ran out of material from Takahashi so they started making up their own stuff.

This is the same team that made GX... so obviously, yeah, poor results.

Still, not fair to call 5Ds junk simply because it's card games on motorbikes.
