  • This ride hurts your nuts so bad lol

  • @brcoasters That, and if you had loose change in your pocket you could kiss it goodbye lol

  • Love the fact there is only like 5 people on it!!!!!!

  • this ride was awesome!

  • Another song I used to hear them play a lot for the Texas Twister was "Cotton Eyed Joe."

  • wow good times. loved that ride soo much :( i wonder if another park bought it?

  • @EightYourVtec It was the bestest!!!

  • Just a normal Huss Top Spin, Go to germany and every same ride has nice music, smoke, lights, Stroboscope's & Ride operators, wich talking thru the mic!

  • @traxxtwinz came

This ride was actually a big deal back in the day. Geauga Lake was the first park in North America to get a Top Spin. (Before that, I believe when Bates and whoever else came for the I-X Indoor AP earlier that year, 1993, they had one too but it wasn't a permanent model)

I remember being 5 yrs. old and they had just installed it and it was a huge deal. It also made people sick left and right. On average, out of 10 rides, they'd make usually at least 3 of those people sick.

  • I remember when this ride first opened and they played thunder on the speakers and strobes for lightening at night!

  • i remember my dads Wallet fell out on this ride and we caught it in the air .

  • Sooooooo many memories!!!! Soooooo much lost change!!!! :)

  • If you had any loose change in your pockets it was gone by the end of this ride. Loved every minute of it

  • my mom was on the twister.... she told be never to ride that thing, she was 40 yrs old

  • That ride wasn't populated

  • texas ball annilator

  • I remember when i had stand in line for ages for this ride..and they would play Garth Brooks-The Thunder Rolls...the speakers would b booming!!

  • I got on this ride 6 times in a row lol me and my uncle kept in getting off and getting back in line lol i miss Geauga Lake this is where we used to go every summer at least twice

  • Theres one just like this in the UK

  • we had one of these in a myrtle beach at the pavilion they called it the top spin it was a little smaller as well

  • I Wonder Why Ceder Point Could Of Bought And Put It In The Park And Rename It Riptide They Need A Topspin Instead Of Valleyfair's Skyscraper

  • Oh god the operator was awfully boring

The ride didn't even flip much

  • Hahahaha that sucks that they got stuck going down slow just sitting upright usually you get stuck facing down which is extremely painful but fun.

  • this ride is very boring... only 6 flips in the hole ride.

look at the german top-spins (Top Spin Scheele)

    ;D

  • Dude the first time I rode this they flipped you around so many times and once at the top they breaked you so you were like... stuck facing the ground and moved it so you were like going head first into the ground... it was awesome... that setting just plain sucked. No wonder people stopped coming to GL... I miss it though!

  • tis ride make yo ball hurt bad i had to tell my gf to suck them again in th bathrooms lol

  • não gostei

  • that looked pretty boring,

  • Awesome, I used to work this ride when GL was Six Flags. There are a few other settings on the ride that are a lot better, that one I remember never using because it was pretty lame. I think it was seeting 6, and the last one that were the best. Cool to see this online brings back memories.

  • RipSaw is alot better lol

  • Tomb Raider Firefall at Kings Dominion is alot better than Ripsaw.

  • you do know that this was the very first "top spin" ride in the world right? I'd hope that any after it would have been improvements of an already awesome flat ride

  • @RobDupp No, it was the very first Top Spin ride in America. They had one overseas. Geauga Lake paid $1.2 million for one to be brought to America.

  • i remember back in the 90's they used a lot more of the elements of the ride. maybe they didn't keep up with the maintenance of the ride.or just lazy with operating it.idk.

    I miss Geauga Lake :/

  • i know you posted that message a while ago... (about Texas Twister from G.L) and you're right.....I think it has to do with the physics of the ride. The ride is extreemily crazy and insane when the car has an equal number of people in the front and back of the car! But when Cedar Fair got a hold of the park they made alot of stupid mistakes....

Aparently they didn't know of the ride's physics....or how to keep a park running for that matter. So when the car is off ballance the ride sucks.

  • very similar to the one at chessington world of adventure only you get really wet!

  • Was that the whole ride?

If it is then is it a bad ride. Just 8 rolls no water. We have here travell Top Spins on the carnaval(fairs) and making a lot more loops

  • Ripsaw at Alton Towers is Similar but it has water jets!

  • this ride isn't ball friendly

  • @deekid311 I rode it were it now is at Great America it is now called Firefall and nextime just push in and it urns ball friendly!

  • I miss that ride. It was one of my favorites at Geauga Lake. I remember the first time I rode it, I got sick, lol. I was 10. Every time after that I was okay though. It used to spin more than that.

  • This ride has been shut down though for sometime at great america. i have a season pass for there and i go there alot and there is like almost always problems with it.

in the mornings, it barely flips at all. and then at night right before the park closes, they like put it on full blast and it flips forever.

  • This ride loves stealing peoples flip flops...every time at Great America when I ride it, there's always someone's flip flop floating around below.

  • Damn I miss that shit , Geauga Lake was the best .

  • Da chessgintan 1 iz much betta cause itz gt water

  • this ride was given to clifornia's great america theme park after geauga lake had been shut down. its now called firefall at california's great america.

  • lol i rode this ride and everybody forgets totake the change out there pockets or there phones and the one time i was riding it some ladys money fell out and she couldnt get it.. sucked to be her

  • this is an outdoor version of the crypt...aka tomb raider at kings island

  • this ride HURTS YOUR BALLS

  • @mitchelhayden OHHHHH YES^^

  • in österreich is this name: top spin or superman

  • wow that was just like king choas in great america!

  • Ride was so much better when it was full and longer.

  • omg i rode this ride the year they were closing it presses on your thighs soo hard i had marks on my legs....but it was kinda fun....

  • God I miss that park. I moved away in 2003, and was never able to return before they shut it down. It is sad because it was one of the best, most affordable amusement parks ever. I think it was way better than Cedar Point anyday. I loved looking across the lake to see Sea World. They made a big mistake.

  • this park was awesome......sad it shut down

  • in great america its called firefall

  • in kings dominion its called the crypt

  • And to think it was only closed because of its nearness to Cedar Point. Shame on u cedar fair for eliminating Cedar Points competitors and neglecting your other parks! RIP Geauga Lake

  • in finland is same twister called kieputin :) that's nice

  • R.I.P. Geauga Lake. Northeast Ohio sucks just that much more without you.

  • glad i got to ride last season before closing. daughter wouldnt ride it or tomb raider at kings dominion but would at kings island. which is scarier for her, hags u upside down long time, 16 seconds and in inside in the dark.

  • I think it is so funny that cedar fair said they didn't know they were closing the until the end of 2007. Notice how the coler scheme of the ride dosn't fit in with the western theme!! Now it is firefall in california. Boy it looks like a fireball more than a tornado!! Crap head dick kinsel!!!

  • OMG! I wouldn't fricken do it!

  • Too bad if you wish to..The Park is CLOSED.

  • why wouldn't you do it top spins are AWESOME!!!

  • no offense when i was 8 i rode the thing it hurts between your legs but its pretty fun

  • I can understand it hurting in between ur legs because you have like tht thing that goes between your legs and you get pushed around and around and around I WOULD NEVER RIDE THT DAMN SHIT man i would be shiting in my fucking pants

  • na this isnt that bad...dorney park has one called hang-time and it has water under it!! ♥

  • My fave park is CLOSED-GEAUGA LAKE...Condominium property leases will attack YOUR fave entertainment venue,as well.

  • it is rubbish compared to ripsaw at alton towers coz u get wet on it

  • this is a top spin!!!

  • I LOVE THAT RIDE! I wish it was at super ex

  • how high did this go again?

  • I was wondering why there was no screaming, theres only like 4 or 5 people on it.

This ride looks like Rip-Saw in Alton Towers except I think Rip-saw looks better because you get soaked and everyone laughs. haha. this does more of those little flips though.

  • firefall sucks compareed to this.cuzit had more loops

  • there's like nobody there, no wonder it closed.

  • this ride is at knotts berry farm and it is better cause it goes faster

  • go texas!

  • This ride is not in Texas its npw in California it used to be in Ohio.

  • que paadree yo quiero ir alli jaja

  • I miss TT. Flipped 7 times once. It was weird seeing the theming during the Geauga auction. Without a ride there it really looked like a twister went through.

  • hah that ride got transfered to my local park: great america. but it's hella weak their. it looks more fun in this video. but when its at my park, it's hella short. they need to make it hella longer

  • This ride was the shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the 1 in Great America has the same design and color

but its better theres water and fire put together and the ride puts your head near it

  • Thats because it is the one at Callifornia's Great America

  • When i was here i rode this ride 26 times

  • love this ride, but i like the way the tomb raider at kings dominion and island (i dont remember there new names) are set up

  • This was relocated to Great America in California and is called Firefall. It's very similar to the one at King's Dominion. (Same music even!)

  • This is like Voodoo at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. I love that ride, haha.

  • i hate this ride.... its not fun or scary to me

  • cool , but i ride the topspin for warming up...

  • i went on that i hella sucked

  • same thing as th crypt @ kings dominion

  • Yes, at Great America, the ride will be called Firefall, and there will be added water and fire effects.

  • This ride was moved to Great America in Santa Clara, CA which was bought out by Ceder Fair in 2006.

  • i love this ride..but scary thing is...a girl lost her damn foot on this ride..i got kicked off cuz i had no shoes on,,,,then i came back and rode it

  • No the girl lost her foot on the Superman Power Tower in Kentucky. Theres really no way she could ahve got her foot dut of on this. But it could happen to someone on a floorless top spin.

  • You should try Tomb Raider Firefall at Kings Dominion your feet dangle the seats are back to back and it has fire water & fog.

  • oh they have that same one in pennsylvaina at our amusement park kennywood except ours is blue..

  • talocan in germany is better plus ur feet are hanging (there is no floor) look at my video of it or type in talocan in the search bar

  • the talocan is nice themed also, not as bald as this one

  • but ours cost more urs cost 1.9 million jew gold ours cost 2.2 million usd

  • Yeah I agree I like Texas Twister better.

  • why is there only like 5 ppl on that ride?

  • idk, it moves pretty slow compared to ones i have riden

  • Park Models generally suck. Traveling fair models (especially european ones) perform excelently, just as they're supposed to be run, with multiple flips and spins, not only 4 to 5.

  • Maybe... the general public doesn't like a ride that can pretty much turn your insides out?

I will agree though, that we Americans treat our top spins too gently. If I had a topspin I'd program it to thirteen flips per cycle...

  • I like dis ride alot they have one in the park that i live close to wich is Six Flags:Great Adventure! (where "Kingda ka" is)

  • lucky! i have one wer i live. We have a miniture size of king da kong! and we also have flight of fear, and volcano, which i recomend you look up. so fun! kings dominion isnt as great as some parks, but we also are ggetting a ride from this park called dominator! YA!!!!!!!!! Busch gardens is near wer i live also. fun fun

  • I love this ride! But the restrains were quite tight! XP But once it started flipping- I was thankful I had them.

  • sucks they closed the x flight and steel venoma.k.a. superman

the park is acuttaly getting closed down becuse cedar point bought it out

  • um no. Cedar FAIR already owned Geauga Lake for years. They're only closing the ride part of Geauga Lake. They are converting to full on waterpark.

  • the bigdipper is getting moved to the waterpark via cedarfair wants to have a good record on the ride and the park.

  • only the start scary -_- in israel all scary!!!

  • This is a million times better that Ripsaw.

  • I went on that today like a nillion times. Pwnage.

  • I love this ride! I went to Geauga Lakes and rode it with my friend and we loved it! It rocks!

  • thats nothing compared to the RIPSAW at alton towers put it in the search bar

  • That seems more intense than other Top Spin rides I see on YouTube.

  • She really floors that thing!

  • God, that would make me sick!!
