I found that it performs as it should and have great results with a Samsung mini DV. I use it when travelling as it is really compact. I've used it as a shoulder brace, mini tripod and as a counterweight and I prefer it as a shoulder brace. Ideal when on a boat or just walking to follow the action. Works best when zooming. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
The real joke is, that this guy fixed the holder! If u use the modosteady like this u really dont need it! The holder mus be loose. I tried it out this a small sony approx. like the hv30 AND its ok! Better than without! Its a little bit tricky but ok for 100 Bucks!

He doesn't seem to fit in with that thing.

it sucks for standard size DV camcorders. Might be ok for some pocketsize cams. I tested it with a Canon HV30 - and that is a no-go...
Was returned.

Great. No footage from the camera to actually get an idea
as to the stability of these devices.
Horrible advertising.
