11 years at least since I've seen this movie, and I'm pretty sure this song got stuck in my little kid brain, cos my approach to everything since then has been "Why should I worry?"
I had a book on tape of this movie when I was a little kid, and I remember listening to it in my dad's 1993 Chevy Blazer on a long trip. I have fond memories of listening to all my favorite disney soundtracks in that Blazer when I was little. This era of Disney kicks ass!
I remember watching Oliver and Company everyday. You know what? I'm going to gather all my church friends, grab all my Disney movies, and we're going to have movie night. :)
Heck I went to see it in theaters when it came out with my babysitter an her daughter who was one of my bff's at the time and I bought the VHS for my kids a few years ago from a thrift store :) Love it sooo cute
Well as i recall as i do own the movie in it's 2002 special edition DVD that on the re-issue trailer saying the film is back in theaters. I actually saw this in it's original release in november and december 3 times when i was 7 and had the original mechandise including the soundtrack to mcdonalds stuff, too bad it never came to video for 7 years and wanted it, the kids back then were upset., why didn't they release it on video the next year after it's release?
this is one of the greastest songs because it was soo good that i had to start my own email account, then start my own youtube account just to coment about it
Sir, that movie is so good that it almost seems that Walt made it himself. Need I remind you, it's 0 percent computer animation and all the voices are spot on. Winnie the Pooh, The Princess and the Frog, Tangled and Bolt are ALL great films that show that Disney still has it.
Who thinks I should film my dog to this song? Hes always gettin' out and hes really street smart... I thought it would be funny to film him and put it to this song.
I remember seeing this movie as a kid for the first time, not too long after my father had passed. It was one of the greatest things in my life at the time. I especially remember this song.

Don't worry Princess and The Frog was a success and 2D is back even though Pooh didn't do too well, oh well maybe the next 2D will be better. They should do a stop motion or claymation movie
when I was younger I was watching this, and my mom walked into the room, then when this song came on she called in my dad. "Honey Honey, listen to this guy sing he's really good" My dad then did a facepalm. "Yes that's because it's Billy Joel" My mums a Die-Hard Billy Joel fan, and she didn't realize that it was him singing. It's amazing what animation can do!
Really were you 5 when this came out in it's re-issue? i saw it in it's old release at 7 3 times and saw it 14 in it's 96 re-release, it makes you feel all warm and nostalgic inside eh?
Billy Joel is awesome isn't he? did you grew up with his music? and did you see this movie in theaters when you were 8/9? i saw 3 times when i was 7 back then and did you too had the merchandise including the soundtrack to the Mcdonalds toys and ornuments? great song isn't it?
i thought tangled was pretty good, and that was made just last year. disney isn't losing its touch for animation, its just that everyone now associates disney channel as the only disney made production.
people will always be nostalgic of awesome movies from their childhood, and kids who are growing up now will probably think that movies in the 2020s are crap, when they are just different because they are from a different time.
Walt Disney really went down hill after the mid 90;s they kind of lost their soul.
Im not selling anything but if you love this song and cant find it elsewhere google a program called freecorder by appelian technologies. It allows you to download youtube videos and extract the audio.
@LuigiRulz324 Yeah there are some special ones, but they stopped doing quality animation, and now theyve settled for crappy looking apparently "kid friendly" cgi. Toy Story was a great film for story and quality of cgi. So many of their films just havnt reached that level of refinement. Cars is close but its cars with faces kind of looses something and makes it look hokey imo. To each their own though.
Awesome song, i grew up with Billy Joel and Huey Lewis in the 80's when i was 4 and i saw this movie in theaters 3 times when it first came out in 1988, i had the merchandise including the soundtrack and those Mcdonalds ornuments/finger puppets. I was sad next year that it never came to video but had my memories and merchandise to remember it, i did also enjoyed it's re-issue in 96 when i was 14 and even bought it on video after 7 years of waiting.
This si the best song ever in history, this was my favourite film growing up and I still watch it. I just love this song, listening to it at full blast and belting out the words is just yay ... haha
