I think it might have been homo-CONSCIOUS, but not homophobic. In other words, I think Kelly did indeed knowingly make a sly remark, and she did it because obviously she got pissed when Aiken put his hand on her mouth. But I think it was almost sort of teasing him rather than, you know, hating the guy. And it's hard not to be homo-conscious at that point, because the retort has sexual connotations.
