  • @TheKoolaide88 LOL u dont know the story at all dont u?

  • @replaygem1 hey man i wasnt doin anything just asking andyea its been a long time since i heard it

  • no1 won in the end jin dynasty won thaxn to sima yi =)

  • @chuchua1000 thing is jin was really part of sima yi's dynasty so i guess yi won :P

  • caocao was a great hero!

  • at the end it was wei who won the whole match, liu chan and sun hao both surrendered.

After the 3 kingdoms, jin chao was created, unfortunately, it was outruled really quickly by "barbarians"

cao cao was never a villian, but as wingietonne said, dong zhuo and lu bu are the villians. dong zhuo was killed my lu bu, while lu bu was...killed by cao cao? im not sure abt that part =P

  • its 2011, and still my favourite JJLin Song (:

  • Still, caocao died and wei lost

  • Well Cao Pi is kind of a villain......

  • In movies Cao Cao always a villain. But the real Cao Cao is actually a Hero not a villain. In Three Kingdoms the real villain is Dong Zhuo and Lu Bu.

  • i didn't noe uncle jun jie wuz a singer???? lolwut, why my parents nvr tell mi!!!

  • @elloumon ure his relative?

  • @RaWkOnDuDe my father worked with him closely before he began famous, im not bloodline related, he just used to chill with my family last time :)

  • @elloumon interesting. he is a singer for a long time already!

  • omg omg omg omg omg o.0 sooooooooo good he reminds me somewhat of gackt but chinese version :D

  • @tetsuky it means in a time of war, nobody would warm wine (be relaxed).

  • "who will warm the wine" ? wut does that mean?? O.o

  • its almost like a epic lol

  • why did he write a song about Cao Cao??

  • @codeagent47

Because Cao Cao is awesome and deserving of a song? XD

  • @XethBan YEAAAA..

  • jj is from my country singapore :)

  • @crazyupoar thank you for letting me know. and thank you for removing your earlier comment. It is no longer necessary to correct my mistake, though, as if you read back in the comments MANY people have informed me of which country he is actually from. ^^ Have a nice day.

  • @hikarumaxwell The pride of the SIngaporean people speaking.

  • Comment removed

  • whats cao cao?

  • @fungyifan8598 he was this old hero during the period of the warring states in Ancient China. He was a general of sorts.

  • @fungyifan8598 Cao Cao was a prime minister during the chaotic period in ancient China (The period before the first reunification leading to the Qin Dynasty). He was as one of the greatest tactical genius during the "Three Kingdom" era, and also known for being extremely ruthless in war. Until now, people still remember him by this - "A great leader in time of peace, but an extremely dangerous general in watime."

  • @dagpeter at least hes never claim the title for himself....unlike the other two poser....

  • @pakong82 Well... True, but he still died like the other poser. (Sun Quan, Liu Bei)

Sorry, I know I did not have their name spelled correctly...

  • @dagpeter ??? what did you mean?.....i think he is an ambitious man....but imo he was an honorable man.....he did not usurp the title for himself unlike LIU BEI(pretending to restore the HAN, yet usurp the TITLE for himself)......he bring peace and to the north china.......CAO CAO is da man....for me dat is...

  • @pakong82 well... guess so... :-)

  • @pakong82 the man who did claim the TItle in a way Was Sima Yi when Jin took over

  • @supersasukemaniac It;s not sima yi that claimed the emperor title...The title of Emperor of WEI was claimed by CAO CAO's son CAO PI....later after sima yi's death the title was claimed by his son SIMA YAN.....

  • @pakong82 wait when Cao Pi died the Kingdom of Wei was changed to the kingdom of Jin so for a short time Sima Yi the master mind behind Jin did hold the Emperor of Jin title

  • @supersasukemaniac that is in the DYNASTY WARRIOR....read the history my friend....SIMA YI never usurp te title.....the kingdom of JIN is established by SIMA YAN....SIMA ZHAO's son.....u have a lot to read..... i suggest u find a book about three kingdoms or find a translation of SANGUOZHI(the official record of that time period)....SIMA YI for your information is a loyal subject of wei in the history.....Unlike his son( SIMA SHI & SIMA ZHAO) and his grandson (SIMA YAN) who are threacherous sotb

  • @dagpeter Also, the Chinese have a saying similar to "Speak of the Devil." It's "Say Cao Cao, Cao Cao comes."

  • @fungyifan8598 three generals existed during the Three Kingdoms Era that were made famous

    Liu Bei of Shu

    Sun Jian of Wu

    Cao Cao of Wei

  • im a metalhead. but i still like JJ lin :] that means he is ASWSOME <3333

  • Oh yea come on zhao yun Ma chao and lu bu from dynasty warriors, fucking kill cao cao.

  • well, is this song a tribute or an insult to cao cao?

  • @darkz3911 tribute

  • is jj japanese or korean

  • @sasunarulover2010 Lin Jun Jie is from Taiwan. For those that don't know their cultural geography, that means he's Mandarin Chinese...

  • @hikarumaxwell he's not from taiwan, he is singaporean(:

  • @ongjenn1 thank you. for the life of me I thought he was from taiwan. now I know he's from singapore. ^^

  • @hikarumaxwell in singapore there lives many chinese :p

  • @ongjenn1 He's overseas Chinese :3

  • @ongjenn1 His album is from Taiwan

  • @hikarumaxwell Hi, JJ is a Singaporean..

  • @hikarumaxwell He's from Singapore

  • @hikarumaxwell Nono. I'm pretty sure JJ Lin is from Singapore.

  • @sasunarulover2010 i think is Chinese

  • @sasunarulover2010 its mandarin

  • @sasunarulover2010 Chinese from singapore

  • i...love....this song!!! wanna hear the english version (if there is one) but still omfg if your not a fan of jj lin or dynasty warriors you shouldnt be watching this vid! :D

  • "(...) each kingdom tried to outwit the other unable to tell right from wrong (...)" I really like this part. (^_^)

  • This is like a history lesson

  • JJ's muscles are like super strong.

  • Ich mag Züge

  • It show the host this video has serious warning on negative comment on JJ Lin. I will say that JJ Lin from singapore and i also from Singapore. His appearance doesnt fit to be model. But his song is the best. Better then Jay Chou who i can say doesnt know what the hell he was saying. JJ Lin ur the best. BTW my full name is Lin Zi Yuan same surname haha. Ur look and face are average, if u need i can transfer my look to u lol.

  • I LOVE CAO CAO!!! AND I LOVE 3 KINGDOM STORY!!!!! I LOVE ALL OF THEM!!!!

  • I can't believe I have to say this, but..

I don't mind if you all want to have discussions on the comments, but please keep it clean. If I find any comments that I think are out of order, I'll remove them and block the user from visiting this page. This is your only warning.

  • Cao Cao is awesome!!!!!! my second favorite in Three kingdom (no.1 is sima yi)

and ogcourse jjlin is awesome too haha

  • @hacksign000 - Ditto. ()*_*()

  • @hacksign000 Eh... Wei traitor! Gaun Yu is my favorite! lol /kidding

  • WTH! I was to say what the hell with this artist, but then after I watched I was like...

    WOOT!

  • sub is funny

  • Only a week until DW7... TOO LONG!!!

  • this is a little funny and at the same time really awesome

  • Agreed and I resend part of my statement. I do not, and will not ever respect Dong Zhuo :P

  • Comment removed

  • Cao Cao shouldnt have killed Hua Tuo...

  • I personally feel that there were many heroes during the Three Kingdoms period who did things that nowadays would be considered underhanded or even cruel. However, not only during that time were these tactics more common, but they all did these things to bring peace and unity to China as they felt would be the best path to take. I admire all of the brave men that fought and lived or died during this time.

  • I think this song was much more powerful before I got to read the translations....

  • ...

  • Truthfully....I will never look at Cao Cao as an evil person, but someone who would do ANYTHING to end warlord-ism. He will always be my favorite....anti-hero.

  • the translation is very blank. doesn't really bring out the lyrics

  • The Shu Kingdom had the biggest advantage in the War of the Three Kingdoms.

They had Zhuge Liang, The Strategist of No Peers.

Guan Yu, The Chinese God o' War.

and Liu Bei, The Wise Leader

  • @HsIeNRaE

No no, Liu Bei was the lowest of the low. Only thing he had was a big plan, determination, and EXTREME luck. He was given many talented generals, and he STILL messed up.

  • Comment removed

  • @anythingnew

I believe it was his son Liu Shan that messed up Shu.

That or just things begun going downhill after Guan Yu's death by Wei & Wu.

  • Veryvery nice song i am in love wif it i listen to it everyday

  • From 2:31 To 2:40 JJ Lin Use Shinra Tensei

  • i oni noe the 3 kingdom better aft i watxh ko 3anguo

but i gt herad it ton of times be4 but i dunno really understand

  • the only reason i know this stuff is because i play the game thats based on the han dynasty (dyansty warriors), and i've watched red cliff, but one thing i was really never sure of was the han dynasty and the three kindoms really that popular coz i know there were heaps of other dynasties but i've never really heard of the others as much as this one

  • @hardstylemaster321 loll i guess thats cause someone initiated writing a book bout it and thus comes all the movies shows and all. the three kingdoms period was also one of the bloodiest in Chinese history. D:

  • I really want to read the book! does anyone know where I can find a pdf?

  • Its so cool how he can mange to write a song about the history that nice :D

  • I don't care what anyone else says, I will forever respect Cao Cao as a ruler and a great hero

  • @LingFangKou to be honest a good ruler is not enough ithe country needs to have a good strategist. thats why shu keep winning until liu bei got angry with wu for guan yu and when sima yi appeared

  • @TwistedFate42 What are you talking about? For the majority of Liu Bei's reign as leader, he was constantly running and being defeated. It wasn't till after Zhuge Liang and Chibi did the tide started turning. Cao Cao had all of the abilities needed for a hero. If Zhuge Liang did not exist, nor Zhou Yu, Cao Cao would have unified the lands aaround 208 A.D.

  • @LingFangKou i know that liu bei kept losing but a good strategist is also crucial to a kingdom other than a good ruler and when i refer to liu bei keep winning is after zhuge liang joined him

  • @TwistedFate42 not only a good strategist, but also good, loyal, and men with ability. A strategist is useless unless you have able men to pull it off. A good example is Jieting with Ma Su and Zhuge Liang. I agree with what you say for Zhuge Liang and Liu Bei though.

  • @LingFangKou well, i agree. too bad for shu that liu bei got so worked up over guan yu's death

  • @TwistedFate42 I disagree He had the Right to get worked up because Just after guan yu got killed Zhang Fei got killed

  • @a6m3reisen yeah he got the right to get worked up but that cause shu to fall. zhuge liang already had everything planned to get the three kingdoms under liu bei's rule and just someone who has more power than him had to ruined everything

  • the three nation war of the nation is Wu,Kui, and Shu.Cao cao belong to the Kui Nation! He is a very clever genius war guys.Thats why Nation of Kui is very STRONG!But after cao cao dead, the nation of Kui is become weaker and weaker and falied in the war.

  • 18 people was beheaded by Cao Cao

  • MY GOD ive been looking for this for years! i forgot the name, but then a friend mentioned something about a game where the bad guys name was cao cao and i finaly remebered! god i could kisss that guy!

  • I'm reading Kingdoms now, Cao Cao is one of my top 5 favourite characters so far.

  • cao cao is a very likable character in historical records. i hate how the romance of the three kingdoms make it look like he was just a tyrant. he institutionalized education, increased food production (which also helped the poor), wrote great works of poetry, knew martial arts, studied philosophy and military theory, was a very capable general, he was not arrogant and accepted the views of his advisers, etc. of course he was also cruel, but who wasn't at the time?

  • @GreatImperium well liu bei is not as cruel as cao cao. when wei yan join shu, zhuge liang wanted to behead him but it was liu bei who spoke for wei yan. though i agree that cao cao has more potential as a ruler than liu bei

  • those who study history like to write freaking long comments on youtube, thats what ive observed.

why not quit writing essays here and comment on the clip

  • @BadBoyBoyzz

    I knw rite

  • @jh4everl if you don't like his songs, why are you bothering to comment on a video with translated subtitles of one of his songs? save yourself some auditory pain (that's all in your head), and don't even click the link if the title says "JJ Lin".

  • Comment removed

  • @jh4everl but even if you randomly clicked on the video, you should totally know its JJ Lin's song, cuz it literally says JJ Lin - Cao Cao, so even a stupid person who doesnt like JJ Lin's music could totally tell the title has JJ Lin's name..

  • @yangyxluv

uh...did i say i was trying to avoid listening to JJ's songs? even though i never liked his songs, i do generally like to be fair and try to change my mind about a singer by listening to a variety of songs. are u trying to tell me that i should dispose of this mindset and think that once i hear one song by a singer and decide it's not good then all the rest of the songs by that singer are just as bad? instead of promoting JJ's songs, you fans are telling ppl not to listen to them?

  • @jh4everl

Even if you aren't a fan of JJ Lin there's no reason to leave a negative comment to bait his fans. What's the point of saying "sorry I'm not a fan of his songs?"

It's just trolling plain and simple. It's like going to a sporting event then telling the people around you, "yea I'm not a fan of the home team they suck. LOLZ just my opinion"

Honestly, I'm not even a big JJ fan but ppl like you annoy me.

  • @hikarumaxwell you dont have to be so mean

  • @wenjunlim I could have been much more negative in responding to the original comment than I was. After seeing trolls coming into videos of my favorite artists on multiple occasions, only to say negative things about them, I didn't feel like putting on my 'nice voice' to reply to someone posting negatively about an artist I like in my own channel.

If people don't like an artist, they can easily avoid listening to them by not clicking links with that artists name in the title. Ne?

  • @hikarumaxwell What's wrong with sharing opinions? Isn't that what the comments are for? I haven't read any guidelines that state otherwise. I don't listen to CPop much, but I do love this song alot, however, the guy was simply offering his own opinion, He wasn't rude in any way. Not 100% of the people agree that the sun rises in the East, so what makes you think that there should be only positive comments? Infact, that comment wasn't even negative to begin with.

  • @CrazedPhase he could have gone to a song he liked better and said "i like this more than JJ". then that would have been a positive comment on THAT video. but here, its a negative comment. see how he could have been more positive? thats why our awesome hikaru here said what he said.

  • @hikarumaxwell it doesn matter, it's his choice anyway. i love his songs, but like if he doesn, then its okay. free country

  • @jh4everl lol nobody cares about your fking opinion

  • Comment removed

  • @jh4everl Oh no! Some random person on the internet doesn't like the same singer that I like! What a travesty, I guess I just have to go kill myself now...[/sarcasm]

  • @jh4everl so what are you trying to gain by commenting?

what are you doing watching this vid anyway?

  • this is like a history lesson in a song, but the lyrics sound way cooler in chinese then when subbed xD

  • this is like a quick history lesson in a cool song :p

  • it sounds good but the lyrics are sooo cheesy... hahah :D

  • @polkadotkiss

Jews in the holocaust? Even if you want attention that much, it's not something to be made fun of.

  • @polkadotkiss

So another person being racist means you'll have to do the same? No. You shouldn't even be calling anyone racist when you're doing the same. I'm not taking sides but judging from your comment, you're very rude.

  • @polkadotkiss i have to agree with liweizhang. u really are ignorant. stupid white ppl are all the same

  • Cao Cao is always seen as a "villian", but I liked him very much. He was able to surround himself with talented ministers and recognize gifted men. Can someone like that be that bad? He was not the worst warlord of his period.

I live in France and here chinese music is not that popular. I didn't know this singer. I listened to this song with pleasure. thankyou for uploading.

  • @LiWeiZhang1337 LMAO you're a disgrace to asians. FIRST OF ALL. I'm chinese, and guess what? I'm a GIRL! I'm going to imitate you for a sec, " clearly an uneducated poor chinese boy who lives in china" did I get it correct? LOl? I didnt? Oh i guess assuming isn't a good strategy is it?

  • Is this something he wrote after History class? HAHAHAHAHA. Wow... *cough*

  • Is this something he wrote after History class? HAHAHAHAHA. Wow... *cough*

  • I wonder will jj make a song about liu bei .

  • Cao Cao, filled with ambition, hero of chaos, and one who only value the talented or so they say in Dynasty Warriors 6 and 5 empire.

  • go buy an Xbox360 or PS3 and go play Dynasty Warriors 6 if u realli wish to know abt the history of Han Dynasty :)

  • Dynasty warriors needs music like this.

  • @ronaldng16 For Wei maybe. I think Liu Bei and Sun Quan would be pretty pissed.

  • i always thought cao cao was bad o.0

  • @BlateSemical the book "Romance of Three Kingdoms", one of the four Greatest Classic Chinese Literatures, portrays Cao Cao to be an evil and ambitious dictator only because the politics at the time demanded it. If the author of the book wrote otherwise he might have been executed.

In truth Cao Cao is an astonishing politician, whose value of real talent brings to him many gifted men at the time, who greatly aided Cao Cao in the conquest of China.

Hey, some historical documents are biased.

  • cao cao was the most capable leader at the time, and so he was able to build the most powerful kingdom

  • Though I am not a fan of Mandarin songs since I can barely understand Mandarin despite being a Chinese, =X I actually like this song. I like how he wrote a song based on a story and made a video that is related to the story too. =)

  • I respect Cao Cao more than anyone else. Even though many say he is a villian, he is the type of villian that brings even heroes to his side. I personally think he is more of a hero than a bad guy.

  • can someone explain this song to me? ><

  • hes so awsome...thx for uploading

  • meaningful...Incorporated history into a song

  • Awesome *.*

  • The map was wrong at that time...... how hilarious

  • @Bad1986 lol....

  • y is liu bei always thot of as the hero. Does staying loyal to your dynasty make u a good guy. Then shoukd shoukd liu bang be considere a bad guy since he overthrew qin and stared the han dynasty?

  • JJ Lin has such an awesome voice and this is my all-time favorite song!

  • @Sooweetypie my dick make cool noises

  • And, actually, the Three Kingdoms Period was the inter-regnum between the Early and Late Han Dynasties, it wasn't the end of Han.

  • I find it very sad that there are no more heroes like him anymore.

  • @LingFangKou lol he's a hero!? He declared war just for the jing province! wait he is called the hero of chaos right? lol

  • cao cao (zao zao)? i mean in pronounciation

  • @TheRivalConcept no i dont think so It's chao chao (and i dont know if i typed this right but i know how to say it)

  • @movieman300 It's Ts'ao Ts'ao (I'm using the Wade-Giles transliteration because it's easier to read). In Pinyin, "c" is "ts". Like in the food, Cai Lai, it's pronounced Ts'ai Lai.

  • whos cao cao and jing? cao wants jing? i'm confused

  • @morningPMshow Cao Cao was a warlord in China during the Han dynasty and Jing was a province that he wanted to conquer.

  • @morningPMshow Cao Cao was a warlord in the warring states era of ancient china. He wanted the land of Jing so much that he went to war over it. ^_^

  • @hikarumaxwell Well, actually the era was not called the Warring States, because that was for Japan in the 1500's. It was actually called the Three Kingdoms Era, because of, of course, the Three Kingdoms China split into, Wu, Shu, and Wei. Cao Cao was the very first actual king of Wei.

  • @XFalconZero The Warring States era in China was a century or two before, and it preceded, I think, the Qin dynasty. Confucius was alive during this period ^_^

  • @AndyRaslan Oh. So even China had a Warring States Period, a lil' bit before the Three Kingdoms Era. Thanks for the info, man.

  • @hikarumaxwell isn't cao cao impressive *O*

  • @hikarumaxwell you should put state of jing.

  • @hikarumaxwell oh i know i know it means Jing Province

  • @hikarumaxwell oh i know i know it means Jing Province He wanna take over Jing Province!

  • @hikarumaxwell

Cao Cao was a warlord in the Three Kingdoms Era, not the Warring States.

  • Ya. Warring States is Qi,Qin,Han,Chu,Zhao,Wei And Yan. This 7 kingdoms.

  • @hikarumaxwell - and to think, thats just one of the many stories of that era.

  • @hikarumaxwell I thought it was after the warring states era, because after waring states was qin dynasty right? ...

  • @morningPMshow

Jing means a state in China

  • @morningPMshow I think Jing was a piece of land that he wanted.

  • @morningPMshow If you play Dynasty Warriors you'll understand. Cao Cao (pronounced Tao Tao) was one of the leaders of the Three Kingdom that risen from the fall of the Han Dynasty. The stories of the Three Kingdom took place several thousand years ago.

  • @KyanRyu10 sorry man correction Tsao Tsao
