  • lol i wonder if its tail is tasty.. i bet its full of juicy fat lol... maybe im too high to be watching this

  • oh yea and its fat XD but cute

  • your not supposed to feed them anything dead because bacteria multiply in the carcas and can give the gecko an infection

  • THIS FOOD IS SUCK,DEAD,STINKING,UGLY,BLACK,DISGUSTING :S

  • youev obviously don a very good job of looking after him. He is older then me!!!

  • His Tail Is Huge!

  • just caught a toad and built an enclosure lets see how long he LIVES!!!

  • song?

  • @xXTHExSiMPLExLiFEXx Boy Meets Drum Machine "5 - 0" from the Pleasure album.

  • @rcocker thnx

  • Wow, that's pretty god damn impressive.

  • aww lolo my leopard geckos are only 1 yr old haha

  • HOLY SHAT LOOK AT THAT TAIL!!!

  • maby shes a fat tail not a leopard gecko

  • @geckoguy83 no i have a fat tail. they are usually brown and black with white stripe. that definately a leopard. its probably just well fed and stores fat in its tail, i have seen the regenerated tails and there look alot worse then the tail on that lep :)

  • Damn Dink is older than me....

  • Jesus That tail is frekin Huge!!

  • do i peel the skin when sheding for mine

  • is she still alive

  • She still looks good for 25, I had a leopard gecko for 7 years,Until my sister drooped him when i was at school one day. I told here not handle him when im not there, She didn't listen.

  • have you called jenny yet ?

  • I've had my two leopard geckos for about 4 or 5 years. I hope mine will live this long.

  • So wat temp do u keep urs??? Mine is around 85F-90F... Isn't dat da about da right temp???

  • she still alive

  • He is sooo cute. He moves so slowly!

  • Dink is sooo cute!!!

  • 2 questions:

    1. how old are YOU?

    2. are the crickets just dead ones that are old, are they fed stuff then you kill them or what?

  • whats your secret man?

    i'm a fan!

  • Do you feed her with "canned" crickets or have you just bought living ones and killed them off? :)

  • omg its so fat and cute!

  • that is one fat old gecko Oo

  • 24y ears thats great. Ive had mine for 10 so far., i hope she wil live 24 years too

  • congrats man you must reallly love him and hes pretty

  • That's amazing hopefully mine will live dat long i've only had dem fir 5yrs but idk dey move so slow wat could be da problem?

  • Sometimes if their habitat is too cold they tend to move slowly.

  • he/she is so FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT xd JAJAJAJ congratulations =D!

  • oh sweet dink ;)

looks a bit like dante... he died 1.1.2010... with about 18 years...

Hope dink will live on LONG

  • Wow, great job on keeping her that long, i did almost what u did and my gecko died in 2 months. It was eating right, i held her every once in a while, her tank was heated, and she just died. lol?

  • Hey, sorry about your gecko. I'm also very lucky that Dink has lived this long. That's a shame that you took good care of yours and it didn't work out.

  • @YankysRule: "I did almost what u did" <--Thats the problem< Im reporting you for animal cruelty.

  • is she doing ok now? have you gotten her to a vet!?!?

    plz say yes...

my leo fell once, thank god he was ok...

  • You definitely have to talk to a vet, or take your gecko to a vet. I have no idea what to do but I really hope things work out!

  • that is one fat TAIL! im a breeder and ive never seen a tail that big

  • can you put a female and a male together?

  • yes

  • only to breed. They should not live together. The male will often overbreed and stress out the female or bully her.

  • I think I was over-feeding her. Over the past 6 months she has slimmed down. I had to be really careful not to starve her while helping her get to a more healthy weight.

  • whats the name of the song?

  • The song is "5 - 0" by Boy Eats Drum Machine from the album Pleasure.

  • @rcocker is her tail regenerated?

  • As far as I know she never dropped a tail, but it really-really looks like it. One person had her before me, he says she never dropped her tail, but who knows.

  • @rcocker are u going to get a new leo?

    R.I.P. DINK

  • HE SO COOL.

  • she so cool mines only a baby

  • i can see y u feed her dead crickets. shes very slow at catchin alive ones becuase shes old. correct me if im wrong. and i have a little baby gecko about 2 months old do u know how long it would take for it to be an adult?

  • you feed it meal worms too???

mine is over ten.... so very interested in how you keep yours healthy & any troubles you have had w/ her age~!!!!!

    TY

  • you gots the same cave as my me..lol..

  • Can anyone help me, my leo had a shedding incident while I was on vacation and my neighbor took care of her, she has dead skin covering hey eye lids and in her eye, what should i do?

  • Pet stores have shedding aid spray. Just follow the directions on the bottle. The shedding makes the dead skin come off easier so you can pull it off without injuring the gecko.

  • holy crap that thing is fat!!!!!!

  • thats how male leos are soppose to be

  • wow, i wish my gecko was as active as urs lmao. mines 7 years old, and all he does is sit on his big rock castle ALL DAY. even when i try and re-arange the cage he still pirches himself ontop of the bigest rock and sits their like a lazy f*ck

  • My gecko sits on top of her cage when she's too hot. I think it's a riot when they sit there and stare at you, like they want you to entertain them or something.

  • well i have 3 leo gecks. and 1 is so active, that he comes out his hide place like 10 times a day and climnbs up the big high rocks, climbs up the stone wall, and its just 1 yr old :) i feed them very very quick grasshoppers. first i buy a box with grasshoppers, powder them, place some pieces of apple in the terra, then the grasshoppers eat it and then my gecks eat it. then they get apple in there belly too :D

  • what substrate do you use city?

  • awesome, what a huge tail!

  • can it still have babies?

  • she dropped her tail!?!?!?

  • She has had one owner other than me and she's never dropped her tail when under either of our care. The tip of the tail used to be a little more pointy. She lost just the tip of it after a poor shed that I didn't catch it in time.

  • WHAT IS A '' POOR SHED''????

it lost a chunk of tail from shedding

PLZ get back to me as mine is a old one to & is having a little more trouble shedding.

    Thanks again

  • A "poor shed" is when some of the dead skin still remains on the gecko after shedding. It can cut off circulation to toes, tips of tails, etc. You can buy "shedding aid" at the pet store that moistens the dead skin so you can peel it off by hand w/o hurting the gecko.

  • I know, I typed in that comment before i saw the vid, she does look really healthy and looks great.

My little brother has two and they are only 2 years old. I own a crested gecko and he is also two. I analogize. lolz

  • i was thinking of buying one but it is 1 year old is this ok its a leopard gecko and its very nice in colour!

  • My little brother has 2. The first one he got as a baby, a year later he bought a female a year old. It is fine if you buy one that is not a baby, its just that they might take a little more time getting use to you.

  • ya i want to get an older one becuse just incase their fragile as a young baby

  • Thats fine, although baby ones aren't as fragile as most ppl think, they know how to protect them selves.

  • oh yeah but i mean like for picking it up and stuff

  • nononono, sry, but do not get the impression that a baby is fragile picking it up. In fact pick it up as much as you can because as they get older they want to spend more time by themselves. If I were you i would get a baby so you could get the whole experience of a Leopard Gecko growing up, plus there much cuter when their little.

  • i feel bad for her..

  • why , shes lived a really good life , and is getting on , she also has wrinkles lol but yeh its amazing to see so u shouldnt feel bad

  • WOWSER 24 and counting. Amazing. Was that a lobster roach? I have no clue how often you feed but that's quite a tail on her. You might want to cut back a tad on the calories so she's not dragging around excess weight/fat and putting more strain on her heart. She looks beautifully healthy and I'm sure you have a vet monitoring her weight. I don't mean to criticize. 24 yr. - you obviously are doing everything right. Just a comment out of concern from ole gal for another. Kudos on the herp carpet.

  • just a quick question, is that carpet stuff expensive, and is it hard to clean up if they do their business on it.

  • theyre poo /wee is actually dry so no it isnt hard to clean up

  • Beautiful little gecko, doesn't look a day over 21! ;) Congratulations on having her so long.

  • What a beautiful little lady :)

  • shit thats old

  • where did you get the tan rock hide?

  • It's an Exo-Terra Reptile Cave (size Medium). I bought it at my local pet store but you can get them at Amazon and a ton of other places. The Exo-Terra website has pictures and part numbers.

  • wow you take very good of him/her look at her tail i have a juvenile cus my golden gecko died =[ great vid he/she is old wow

  • its 25 now! xD

    is it still alive?

  • My leopard gackos arnt eating!! What should i do?

  • My gecko doesn't eat if her cage is dirty, or if she's too cold. I have had to buy a new heater or two over the years. They seem to wear out and not stay as hot. If your cage is clean and warm, you should consult a vet. Good luck!

  • Check out my videos! My gecko's tail is WAY fatter than her tail! His name is rhino. You can see him in my videos.

  • What a big tale!

  • i have three two juveniles and a 17 yr old one. i can tell urs is very healthy great job :)

  • ur not to feed them the black crickets... but if thats how u kept him alive for 24 years ill do that!!!!

  • i know right! lol i wan't mines to get that big 8)

  • 24 years old?!?!?!?! o.o thats a olldd gecko

  • Shes beautiful! and that tail looks so healthy! =]

  • i dont see how a dead cricket can be good for your gecko i thought u had to gutload the crickets when there alive to pass on the goodnes of what they eat.

  • no gutload just puts mroe nutrients but yea the crickets are gutloaded before they die i guess cause there spose to be as healthy but not as fun

  • I have a female albino tremper named Benny, wish would eat canned...but in her case if it wont fight she wont bite

  • Very impressive that u were able to keep her alive so long. Just curious tho, do u feed her dead crickets because she has problems catching them on her own?

  • I feed her dead crickets because I have difficulty keeping live crickets. Dink has remained healthy for years on canned crickets but I occasionally get her live ones from the pet store.

  • i hope my lil juv. leo livs dat long

  • can you handle dink?

  • I rarely handle her. I've read that handling is actually a stress for geckos. She is very tame though, probably because she's so old.

  • its a shame, but everything dies sometime

  • 24 years old and healthy as ever!! lol nice leo!

  • Geckos use their tail as a fat storing thing. so if they go hungry for a while they feed off the fat in their tail.

  • u got dat right lol Madonna lol

  • Why is the tail so big? Well, Leopard geckos use the tail as a egg sack. When they produce their eggs they go into the tail to feed on fat. then, the soon - to - be mother gecko shits the eggs out of her tail tip.

  • really i knew they stored fat in their tails but i never knew they stored and shit out eggs with it.

  • not at all u idiot

  • hha dude said u feed it too much? ppl know all dont they? and as for douche deritine...why do u speak like sayin things backwards u r? haha like i felt dumbingthi shit reading i am...wierdo..just so ppl know i mockin this turd i can type...

EX. the dog went to the park and ate a cat

wierdo way ..at the park dog ate a cat he did

  • Should You Feed a leopard gecko every 3 days?

Like give him a cricket or wax worm every 3 days?

  • no like evrey day and much more than 1

  • shouldnt ever feed them every three days. and expecailly not just 1 food item. dont constantly feed them waxworms either, use them as a treat at best. maybye one every couple of days or so. they can get severely addicted to them pretty quickly and its hard to get them off of em. i feed mine mealworms and i feed him like 4 or 5 every day. and hes a nice healthy gecko. crickets you should feed them like 2 for big crickets, maybye 3 or 4 for medium crickets and then bout 5 for small crickets.

  • All these people giving grief on what this gecko's being fed... until 24 years old your gecko reaches, give advice you cannot.

Looking gorgeous! I'm jealous! In 2011 you can beat the record (which I believe still stands at 27 years being the oldest a leopard gecko got in captivity.)

  • shit you feeding that gecko waayy to much food look at the tail!!!

she may be old but still no change to the food amount, vitamin and mineral yeah

    but god lay off it

  • that just means its healthy. doesnt mean nuthin if its tail is that big my geckos tail is a little smaller but thats just my gecko. plus u gotta put in the factor that it is old. as far as i know. i know about leos to an extent. comment to me if im wrong

  • poor girl

  • wow 24 years old :O

she was born before me :|

  • Wow for a female she's anchient! well done mate :)

  • that's a nice looking gecko

  • wow cool

  • dude the leos tail is huge!!!!:)

  • That's because it fell off recently.

  • no it didnt fell off !!

you can see it cuz the tail is grooved and regenrated tails are smooth^^

  • is she too old to catch the live ones? How do you prepare the dead cricket?

  • som1 get this geko a walking stick

  • im getting a gecko but what do you feed em or do you just get bugs from store??

  • You get them mealworms, crickets, or anything thet say they can eat

  • i feed my gecko about five crickets everyday. and i always keep a couple mealworms in this little dish full of calcium. when they're adults, you can feed them an occasional pinky mouse. but i would recommend not feeding anything to much larger than it's head. (pretty much nothing bigger than a pinky mouse.) :] congrats on your purchase. leopard geckos are a lot of fun XD

  • Hail to the Queen!!!!!!

  • 24 years??? whoaaaahh!! that's a pretty loooong period! Jesus!! Mine is just 5! :D

  • Fat tail

  • haha I love that you reached out for the cricket a second time and she was like "no you don't!" she's beautiful. My gecko's only 15 years old right now. but hopefully she'll be around for much longer since I take good care of her and everything

  • someone took very good care of her and treated her like gold

  • The tail is original. I'm not sure why its so fat. Maybe she needs to get more exercise.

  • the fatter the tail, the healthier the gecko

  • She's so fucking cute!!! I hope my little Freya lives to be that old ^____^...

  • god ur best lol god that can almost make 2 of me lol like omg lmao!

  • this older then most dogs

  • maybe he will never die

  • LOL

  • Wow! "For a gecko"? What do you mean for a gecko?

  • hat looks like a regenerated tail ither that or its a fat tail coz thats too big to be a fat leopard gecko tail

  • I'll double check with Dink's original owner but I don't think she's ever lost a tail. The very tip of it is rounded due to a poor shedding.

  • very beautiful nice fat tail

  • Hopefully she'll live for many years to come!

  • Wow wat an amazing gecko.

  • wow, you must really take good care of it, nice job

  • OMG that gecko is 24!!!!! she is amazing

  • sweet gecko, looks very healthy, check mine out, I am getting another female and male this april, plus a kingsnake :)

  • nice taking care of your leo, i just got a baby a couple weeks ago, and he looks pretty neat and getting better tamed. and by the music and the name dink, i dont know if you did or not, but just a guess, did u name him after dink smallwood? :)

  • Top reasons when Dink won't eat: Cage too cold, too dirty, too bright. Also don't change locations of stuff in the cage, they get confused/upset. I feed almost exclusively crickets, very rarely a pinky.

  • Cute little old girl :) She could still live 2 more years :)

  • thats the fatest gecko tail that I have ever scene you must be a very good owner to have it tlive that long. I had 2 gecko but one just past away this morning from inhaling sand now i know better not to use sand.

  • Wow, I'm sorry about your gecko. Geckos have neat personalities and that's really a shame. Instead of thinking of today I hope you remember how fun your gecko was and all of the funny little things it did to make you smile.

  • wow man you are awesome i love your gecko as well i bet you love him very much =]

  • wow u can even c the rinkles

  • What a beauty mines still a baby kinda fussy too!! I hope mine grows to be that old

  • wow i hope she lives much longer :D

  • She was purchased at a pet store in southern New Jersey U.S.A., but that was 24 years ago. I can't even remember the name of the place.

  • sooo fat. very cool.

  • Cool video when and where did you get dink she seem perfectly healthy too!

  • wow,24 years old!!

    she beautiful.

i would say she is realy tame ;)
