is it good to pick him up and rub his back like that? I know it's suppose to help him burp or help the milk go down but the position when he's lifted doesnt look good. In fact i think it's best not to lift them after feeding at all.

He certainly drinks a lot for a little guy! I got to bottlefeed a bernese mtn. dog puppy this summer and he usually got full in a minute and a half, lol.
Is he going to stay that black or will he get some brindle lines as he gets older?

And you aren't seeing one here.. it is a dark brindle. Puppies are always darker when born than later in life.
