I like Ellen Barkin the actress but i disagree with her politics. Back in 2000 she made a movie based on a book i loved called "Mercy" by David L. Lindsey. I was surprised the book was made into a movie because the story was so rated NC-17. The story ended up so watered down. The main detective in the book was hispanic , DUH Ellen Barkin is not. This change fine i'll go with but a lot of the grittyness tone of the story ended up a washout.
