Here in England we've been wondering for a while why Madonna has adopted a really bad upper class english accent. After all her success why does she feel the need to be something she's not?

@alextrocity the fact that she didn't just appreciate it as part of her first thoughts, combined with the fake accent, is telling, regardless of the recording. When you get that along with the myriad of allegations of how elitist she has been becoming it is more of an indictator. Does it mean that is all she is? No. I don't know her, and hence wouldn't say that, but she certainly was being that way here. And I actually like her music.
