I wasn't even close to being alive when newsies was made so I think it's a little strange to think that I can be obsessing over most of the newsies being extremely attractive when they're all in they're 30's and 40's now. ( that made no sense)

OMG!! I can't tell you how excited I am for this to be on Broadway! What teenage girl (especially a dancer) in the 90's didn't LOVE this movie? The pelvic thrust in "Carrying the banner "(we need a good assassination). Holy moley! Seny my 14 year old heart a flutter! Love live the Newsies!!!

@sessieb1 actually, no. kenny ortega kept him off the set, so that when they filmed the scenes with spot, gabe was like this mysterious guy none of them had met. and it would show in the movie. ;)

I have to say, Newsies just came out at the wrong time. It should've been the movie to bring the musical back to Hollywood, but somehow, it was under appreciated. Thankfully, Kenny Ortega pressed on, and finally DID bring back the musical, but, let's face it, the HSM franchise isn't as good as Newsies!

I know you've done pretty well for yourself regardless Kevin, so congrats!

@Esperanza243 You never watched an episode of Roundhouse when it was on?? Wow! He had a chance to display his talent alot more on that show (besides just mainly dancing- I think his voice parodies are awesome). I can watch Encino Man (he has a dancing part in that too! It lasts longer than a second also) or Janet Jackson's "Alright" video and easily spot Mark.

I think I was 5 years old when this movie came out and I have been in love with it ever since! I can't get over how good it is and how talented everybody in it is! You should be very proud of this! I envy you!

I think this is really awesome that you post this. It's really cool. And yes, It does pretty much suck that it didn't do well. Because I think it's a really great movie.

Omgosh, I love this movie. It's one of my all-time favorite movies. Thanks for posting this. I hate that the critics didn't like it. I wish it had done better cuz it is a fantastic movie.

I found myself scratching my head at the poor reviews the film received; it's true that NEWSIES isn't an accurate representation of what happened in 1899, but it's still a very enjoyable musical film. I wonder what those critics were thinking when they reviewed this movie. They obviously didn't see the love of labor that Kenny Ortega put into this film.

@Turnajon musicals weren't 'in vogue' at the time, it was an attempt to revive them... cop rock was such a disaster that studios were ready to toss in their hats at the slightest hint of criticism!

Thank you again for posting these, it sucks that the movie didn't hit very well back in the '90s.

This is one of Disney's best movies by far, you guys should feel extremely proud of this.

Anyone else ever wonder if they know they have such a cult following? Haha, I remember playing and pausing the DVD repeatedly to learn how to do a good barrel turn. Fantastic dancing in this scene.

Hey Man, Newsies is one of the best movies ever made!! Kudos to you for having a camera and letting the fans having a peek behind the scenes!! Awsome job! All the flack that lady gave about the choreography paid off cuz everyone was amazing!! I LOVE THIS MOVIE!
