Well, Ford has come a long way and there current line up is the best I have seen. JD Power did rate the dependability of Ford over BMW. Also Buick was rated to making the most reliable cars on the market in 2009.

MotorTrends first test got a braking distance of 98ft and 0-62mph in 4.5's... Oh, looking at this.. It actually is faster in a slalom than the Nissan GTR and braking distance than the GTR. Good car the M3 is.. MUCH better than its competitors RS4, C63 AMG, and the shitty ass IS-F..
I'm gonna stick to the real numbers.. I mean MotorTrend always goes against its numbers. The first time MotorTrend tested the M3 it got 0.62mph in 4.4's a 60-0mph braking in 98ft and 0.98g..... Edmunds and CarandDriver also got the 0-62mph in 4.4's and Edmunds got the same 60-0mph in 98ft.

Probably beat on the car. This video doesn't look like a drag strip either. The other mags test on a drag strip. It does make a difference.

first off conditions will add tenths but mainly its because other mags use a foot of rollout, taking off at least 0.3 seconds on pretty much anything.

MotorTrends first test got a braking distance of 98ft and 0-62mph in 4.5's... Oh, looking at this.. It actually is faster in a slalom than the Nissan GTR and braking distance than the GTR. Good car the M3 is.. MUCH better than its competitors RS4, C63 AMG, and the shitty ass IS-F..

I'm gonna stick to the real numbers.. I mean MotorTrend always goes against its numbers. The first time MotorTrend tested the M3 it got 0.62mph in 4.4's a 60-0mph braking in 98ft and 0.98g..... Edmunds and CarandDriver also got the 0-62mph in 4.4's and Edmunds got the same 60-0mph in 98ft.

i love the M3! but i have to admit the new camaro has the same 0-60, .3 sec slower 1/4, and is about 6 feet short of bmw's stopping distance. and is about 50-60 grand less. i'm guessing the BMW's iDrive, and fraction of second track times is 50 grand?

the m3 would ruin a cts-v, 0-60 dont really mean shit if its just .3 seconds, different tests have differents results always just depending on where the tests in done due to humidity, temperature, elevation etc. if you want to compare straight line performance use quarter mile times. oh and is-f buddy, how dare you, the m3 beats it in every test, not to say the is-f isnt a brilliant car its just that the m3 eats it up everytime

M3 is a race track car and not a drag racing car, but still M3 r*pes the IS-F all day long even in a straight line. Around a race track is bloodbath where the IS-F simply falls behind and vanishes.
There are tons of track tests to back it up. Check Car and driver, Top Gear, Road and Track, Driver Republic and the list goes on. The M3 r*pes the IS-F every single time.
Their fastest Nurburgring laptimes are 16 seconds apart (8:03 vs 8:19). That is massive r*pe and bloodbath.

Pure size. American power is in displacement, a BMW, Ferrari, or even to an extent an Audi V8 are small displacement engines that get their power from revolutions and from being efficient.
That being said, an LS7 doesn't sound bad to me, and until recently was the most potent N/A V8 on the market. (it was recently beaten by Mercedes, by a very small amount)
