  • At 2:59 he said he wouldve liked a little boy

  • At 1:19 he said 4 tit

  • is the battery life better than the palm pre

  • How hard is it to type? (Im a heavy texter)

  • @BriPuRpLeSuGaRBanana I can palm a basketball, and I don't have trouble typing on it , it's no Blackberry keyboard , but I do prefer it to an on screen keyboard.

  • can u txt on the screen??

  • @lailalolipop No.

  • is the keyboard really slow and annoying when you text because of the small keys or is it alright. please someone answer!

  • @jonahnawabi I had the Palm Pre, and I thought it was good. It keeps up with everything.

  • @jonahnawabi I find it OK. You don't type with your thumbs, as he did, but with your thumbnails. It's smaller than my Treo keyboard was but it did not take long to get used to it.

  • @dartox54 does it have apps

  • @dartox54 unlocked means u can get it with any carrier, its not free. and should i get the 2 gig, the 5 gig, or the 10 gig

  • @dartox54 can u leave it unlocked or do you have to sighn up for a plan. sry for all the questions!

  • @dartox54 can u answer this please.im deciding on this or the intensity 2 and i monstly a txter but i also like other stuff but the reason i might not get the pre 2 is because i hear that smartphones are 100+ a month and my parents won pay that much. which one should i ask them to get for christmas. thx!

  • @dartox54 im deciding on this or the intensity 2 and i monstly a txter but i also like other stuff but the reason i might not get the pre 2 is because i hear that smartphones are 100+ a month and my parents won pay that much. which one should i ask them to get for christmas. thx!

  • @dartox54 no i havent boought it yet im looking for a new phonea and i want it to slide and have a touvhscreen keyboard and i want this one. how much is it a month for unlimited t and t. thx for the keybord info

  • @dartox54 does it cost money

  • webOS is great but my country Malaysia currently does not hav the phone, hopefully they will consider bringing it to my country and i will definitely buy it :)

  • can u text on the touchscreen on this phone

  • web OS was really good. to bad they got rid of it.

  • That's it, I quit, I'm moving on...

  • So is this still getting WebOS 3.0, since HP just killed the WebOS team?

  • Comment removed

  • is the internet free if u hav wifi???

  • @bun314 yes

  • I want this phone so bad!! D;

  • HAHAHA that phone is a joke

  • i have a question does this have flash 10.3 and how does it work on borwsing.Thx

  • im a new WebOS user since I was compulsive enough to keep refreshing my 20 Google Chrome tabs until I actually was able to buy a touchpad for $150. I have to say that even after being an iphone user for he past 4 years i'm really loving the webos. I think people are just closed minded and hesitate to give these products a chance. The tablet is awesome and the best money i've ever spent, even though I would have easily paid at least $300 for it. I wouldnt pay more for an ipad either.

  • @48i do you know if the touchpad can get text messages from Pre 2? I know you can get them from the Veer.

  • @towtheunagi1 i have no idea but as a noob with webos i really love the integration of skype, aim, and google talk on the messaging app.

  • british accent mmmmmmmmmm.......

  • Well I'm getting a new phone soon. And can you text on this cell phone with the touchscreen or only the keyboard?

  • so are you reading off a script or what? i cant watch this :L

  • You talk as if you are a guide on a boat 'To the right is...' 'On board we have many..'

  • Just brought one and why wouldn't you. It's a slick OS and you can pick one up unlocked from eBuyer for about £140. That's a bargain for a very capable handset.

  • So can't wait for HP pre 3!!!!

  • @donk09500 lol

  • so... this or htc trophy?

  • @cassiegomoo This !

  • sorry for repeatedly commenting, but you have adele, and i love you.

  • any reason it says orange at the top?

  • but i want it to BLOOWWWMYMIND

  • I like when you say 'gesture' its funny :). No offense. :) Its pretty cool actually.

  • Bang up job. Been phone shopping for a while now and this is the most informative vid that I have seen regarding this device and OS. Keep 'em coming!

  • @GirlsGamesGunsGuitar Same here, and I was thinking the exact same thing about this vid. I wish every demo/video followed this format and clarity.

  • so goods!

  • For all those that so curious about this phone, it's apples and oranges. Most people who like this phone aren't worried about the number stupid apps available. This phone offers all the USEFUL apps that you will find with IOS and Android. If you really research you will find that people complain about the actual phone and about them slowly dying or having to replace them numerous times.

But (and it's a big one) WebOs lovers LOVE the operating system and can't wait for the Pre 3.

  • lack of apps?

  • can you put a micro sd card in it so you can get your pictures and stuff on the phone?

  • @paintballBROTHERS118 At 2:50 he explains how the phone provides 16 GB of internal memory and is not expandable by micro SD. Though the phone is provided with a USB cord that connects the phone to a PC to acquire pictures etc. from and to the phone.

  • Can u txt on the screen???

  • @Rachyglamglitter12 you can customize it with homebrew to put an onscreen keyboard if you wish. basically you download hombrew on you computer and follow the steps and youll be customizing in no time. in the past ive set it so that when i turn the phone the texting app can switch to landscape. to pop up the on screen keyboard all i had to do was double tap the gesture area while my texting app was up. but the phone doesnt have on screen keyboard by default.

  • @TechnicallyMe2011 How is the battery life?

  • nevertheless

  • @ciawarhater Hahaha.

  • im being offered a brand new one of these for £100 as i know a HP worker, should i take it? i already have a htc desire but i don't like the way its so big and ugly, and some flaws are developing with it. is it worth it getting one now when the pre 3 is around the corner? but for only £100... aaah decisions!

  • i really like this phone it is the best 3g phone in the world!

  • Is there an onscreen keyboard?

And is there zoom on the camera?

  • @Garrison2592 Nope, if you get an iphone you can though

  • i want this phone because it looks cute and neat but im afraid of all the bad comments from the first palm that i feel like this ones gonna be as bad..

  • i wish the keyboard slid sideways.

  • Comment removed

  • @ASWAnimations that was easily the stupidest youtube comment I have ever read

  • the defects of the first palm have me scared to get any other palms ever again

  • @waterbuggg trust me, this phone is much more solid than the original pre and the pre plus.

  • @soccakid815 i would hope so... i found out the hard way that there are many glitches on the orginal palm pre... only way for me to find out is to get the new one... i cant lie i really like web os tho

  • i loved palm webos but they need a market like iphone or android

  • awesome phone...loving it !!...

  • What's the deal with the homescreen? Can you add shortcuts and widgets to it?

  • @HokiesACC

no, its not customizable like an Android phone, its really limited.

  • @SkunknOwl actually, it's quite customizable. there are a ton of options, and the best thing is, HP/Palm encourage it; rooting/jailbreaking doesn't exist on webOS phones.

  • @soccakid815

really? nvm then. Is the keyboard good for a fast texter?

  • @SkunknOwl the keyboard is pretty nice. it's not the best keyboard, but once you get used to it after a few hours, you can type pretty fast.

  • This would be perfect with flash support and a bigger screen, lets say 4''

  • in my opinion this is not an iphone killer. keyboard is way to small and the screen should be a little bigger for a smartphone (i.e web browsing or emails)

  • the only thing i dont like about this phone is that theres nothing to hate about xD Webos<3

  • when does the pre 3 come out in canada

  • I'll be getting the PRE 3 soon muahahahahaha

  • Such an underrated phone. Web OS is a great OS!

  • @MinimeDrummerBoi I agree, same with Windows mobile.

  • idk i have the pre but i dont think ill be getting the pre 2 im more interested in the evo

  • Please answer this for me. I used to own a Palm Pre Plus over the Summer of 2010, and I absolutely loved it. However, one day, I woke up and I picked up my phone, and on the screen, it just said Palm. I thought to myself "Okay, It's probably updating, that's cool." However it stayed like that all day, and for the next few days. It was corrupted in some way. People at Verizon didn't know what it was. I got a new one, and it did it again. One more, again. Is there a problem like that with this?

  • i want this phone!

  • I wish there was a webOS/android hybrid :/

  • @blutootherf its called flashing lol :) u can do that with windows 6.5 devices. Check out the T-Mobile HD2 it uses Windows and Android :D.

  • "youth market... blackberry"? hahahahahaha

  • @ciflores0 The explosion in the use of Blackberry phones amongst under-19s is well documented. Their BBM service has proved extremely popular - as a social networking tool - with that particular age group. I am not a Blackberry owner, nor much of a fan, but the fact of that matter is this: Blackberry are a huge player in the 'youth market.'

  • great review and awesome phone.

    -android owner

  • I am pleased to say that I work for HP as a Territory Sales Manager in my region and this phone is doing very well. We have a great incentive program in place for our carriers to sell this phone and currently they are doing JUST THAT! Look forward to the Pre 3, Veer and the TouchPad coming very soon!!

  • Webos 2.0 is the silent killer

  • @paeh2036 woah dont u even think about it. It is already WebOS 2.2 for Palm pre3 and veer AND U ARE STILL SAYING FUKING WEBOS 2.0 IS THE SLIENT KILLER?

  • @cavatics wt fucking u said fanboy.. u not understand what i means.. i said the webos ia the silent killer for ios n android.. or u not understand in english?? Stupid fucking troll..

  • @paeh2036 wtf u not understand la it is already webos 2.2 and u say 2.0 is the slient killer u fucking ass

  • worst reviewer ever >_< sounds like he hates the phone n rollin his eyes lol

  • Comment removed

  • @Whitefrost11 works well. Loads of people say that in Britain.

  • What the heck is a niggle

  • @aa72on an annoyance. We say that in England.

  • Predecessor he said pre decessor nice pun lol

  • Can anyone tell me if the all apps work on this phone's wifi? The reason I ask is that a few months back I bought a black berry with WIFI, I don't have a data plan so thought I was good. I tried to launch the facebook app, and some other apps and kept getting an error saying that I need to buy data. I researched and found that most apps on Blackberry are ONLY compatible with data, not WiFi. So that thing got resold real fast. No more Blackberry for me. Do all apps work on WiFi?

  • @weirdbeer: Yes, all Apps also work with WIFI. If you can wait, you might want to wait until summer, when the Pre 3 (higher res screen of 3.6 inch, faster processor etc.) comes out.

  • i dont hate the pre but im never goin with palm again

  • palm pre 2 or palm pixi plus?????????????? :)

  • @Edsrayns pre 2 hands down

  • when will this be released in england???? palm pre 2 or the palm pixi plus??

  • i would love this phone, i just dont think its a serious contender for android and ios. although i would prefer to buy this than an iphone

  • You get used too the keyboard after a while, it took me about 2-3 days. Ignore him.

  • I much prefer the look of this compared to balckberrys.

  • this reviews voice kills meeee!!

  • I have a Palm Pre Plus and I LOVE it! Don't listen to him when he says that the keyboard sucks because it dosent!! And on the Pre Plus the camera is not as good as on the Pre 2 and i think the camera on the Pre Plus is amazing so the Pre 2 must be better, I don't know why he is saying the camera is a 'weak' feature at all,

  • I want to get this phone and I can't resist!!!!

  • this camera is kinda childish don't you think?

  • finally an operating system that takes touch screen to a whole new level.

  • this phone looks like a bubble.

  • the keyboard is fine don't listen to him...

  • WEB OS RULES! Imagine this running on a phone with the latest generation dual core processor!!!

  • i want this phone so badly!

  • Is there -ips-technology on it?

  • I love it...:) I will choose it

  • STOP SAYING NEVERTHELESS!!!!

  • Yeah I'm "of the youth" as well and I use a blackberry (which I love) but I also love webos and and I don't care if it looks like the original pre with a slightly different look I'm loving the onboard 16g memory and the 1ghz processor!!! :D

  • Dude im 18 and i think BB is so played out and I really like this phone, its very unique and underrated

  • Is it made out of Gorilla glas?

  • @havanese0801 Yes.

  • Great review. Good depth of coverage and very balanced.

  • awhhhhh your voice is sooo dull. 'this is very cool' with no expression atall LOL!

  • I really love palm phone since a long time ago. What a pity palm is leaving the Asia market. We have not choice for the phone market now. Just iphone.

  • A great phone, a friend has the Palm Pre and the OS and especially UI are extremely nice, functional and intuitive. If it had a horizontal querty keyboard or one with a bigger screen and no keyboard I would seriously consider it as my next phone, but this keyboard is too small for my large hands.

  • webos is just amazing, definitely the best os on the market now, it s a such shame palm-hp doesnt have a powerful device to match it.

  • why does everyone hate this phone? okay its a bit small but still im sure hp/palm will get a new phone soon. besides web os rocks!

  • Finally, an iPhone killer!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @truthjustice7878 I prefer android.

  • @truthjustice7878 80% of the new smarphones are iPhone killers, the iPhone is just more popular. If you compare it to other phones it looks poor... and more expensive ; /

  • @truthjustice7878

how the shit is this an iphone killer? webOS has almost no good apps and theres nothing amazing about it. I still hate iOS though. Android is better than webOS and iOS

  • @truthjustice7878 really, with only 16gb memory and not expandable??

  • @truthjustice7878 Samsungs Galaxy S is a Iphone raper.

  • IMO this is a fantastic first smartphone, or phone for a light user. Not because of size, just because this isn't the greatest phone. But WebOS is simply amazing. Imagine it on an iPhone 4. OMG

  • "for the most part, nevertheless."

  • i still own mine and its still works great. not everyone wants a huge smartphone in their pocket. Palm almost went under cause those who bought, didn't know how to use it. Word of mouth can be a bitch at times. Iphone punks were all over the place bad mouthing the phone, like what they do with android. They know that iphoney is out dated but so simple to use. like i said be b4. Iphone and Android should change names. I phone means to make yours and Android is to follow orders..( Jobs followers )

  • @RCHSwackness no thanks and i dont have an iphone dumbass hahahaha

  • Niggles... What?

  • @CanYuFeelDaBeatt Go to precentral . net and type in how to overclock in the search box.

  • I don't see that Palm being bought by HP is going to be much of an improvement. I say this only because of HP.

  • Great phone, could be better though

  • who needs this junk when you got the apple iphone or samsung galaxy s ?

  • Auch...

    That's all I can say.

  • "wikipeja"

  • they should make it with a side-sliding keyboard insteadd

  • @HORSEcabbage9048 I heard that a new palm phone like that will be showed out in jan 2011

  • make the screen 3.7 inch super amoled 720p vid r front facing camera and this phone would be a beast

  • Sorry to re-post, however the only reason I still use the Palm Pre is because of WebOS and because I can extremely customize it. I have an 800/500 MHz Palm Pre (overclocked) and it runs blazing fast. If you have a Palm Pre, there is no need to upgrade to the 2, because you can safely, and easily overclock the processor, and you will get the WebOS 2 very soon!

  • @TheTechCentury How can i do this because i have the pre

  • Being a palm pre owner, I do agree that the hardware is an epic fail. However, WebOS is AMAZING! Squarify the screen, make the icons smaller, change the icon appearance, and put it on amazing hardware then you have an amazing phone!

  • @TheTechCentury Actually, just redesign how the UI looks. In my opinion it looks like the UI of a 5 year old's learning pc.

  • Really nice phone :) WebOS is such a intuitive operating system, the gesture area is a pleasure to use. The menus and such are extremely attractive with the phone's appearance itself very elegant!

HP/Palm is going to be expanding massively in 2011 with new devices, hardware and software upgrades! EXTREMELY excited to see what they bring

  • So, does this phone use a TON of data? I was looking at getting Verizon's 150mb. a month plan with this phone. Is that doable?

  • the os is sick!! Conversations is the same concept as on the nokia n900

  • I think the OS is just awesome but I don't like the phone

It would be nice to have this OS on a Samsung with 4" super amoled display and

    1 Ghz possessor and ...

  • this OS is wonderful. Simple but has some nice touches that make it a great addition to the OS world. Thumbs up if you agree

  • Very nice Operating System.

  • Very nice Operating System.

  • Omg so much faster then my original prē! Gosh palm fucked me over -.-

  • I'm not too sure whether to be anticipating more hardware from HP/Palm, or to just go ahead and wait for Windows Phone 7 to come to Verizon.

Android has too many fragmentation issues to me, and the iPhone I don't need cuz I have an iPod Touch.
