Never been charged to pay for the tickets we "have to sell", but I fucking HATE the whole "You have to sell tickets to play" bullshit. And the only venues that ever do that are the asshole ones that try to charge $10-$15 for fucking small bands. And then act surprised nobody buys the stupid things. I argued with a guy that if he charged $5, he wouldn't have to worry about making his money back cuz people would ACTUALLY be more willing to pay. And he'd get a ton more walk-ins. Didn't get it.
