Now I'm British, and whenever I see people Asians being portrayed this way, I always think of how they portray British people; with horrible wonky teeth and that funny accent where they say things like "Cheerio, Pip-Pip, Spit-Spot, Tallyho!" Most times, cartoons just reflect what is happening in your timeperiod. Sometimes it is funny. Usually a cartoonist's job is to try and make you laugh. Cartooning is a lot of work, regardess of the stereotype of an artist. Some people that work at a supermarket or get a check would say that the cartoonist doesn't have a job. In reality, it's alot of work. Maybe he went to a Chinese restaurant and noticed that Shaggy didn't really have a job there, but was trying to imitate someone else' smile.

Actually the reason Austin Powers has bad teeth is specifically to make fun of the stereotype that the British have bad teeth. Personally, I don't see why stereotypes piss people off so much, as 1.
