Jawad you sound very uneducated at Cricket........just because the guy has gone backfoot, how can he get bowled? he can still cover the line of the ball and stick his bat infront of the ball. It is stupid to justify that because he has gone backfoot he will be bowled. May be he did not get to the pitch of the ball to cover the line i agree but going backfoot to a backfoot ball doesnt necessarily mean that he will be bowled as long as hes playing with a straight bat which in this instance he does

It looks more like a drill for the hands and shoulders. The head needs to come down a lot more. The feet and head is to far away from the ball.....

By the way it is not a front foot shot to get your front foot near the ball. Its a crazy idea. As you can see the length of the ball is pitched back how can you have the front foot near the ball? It will mean that the batsman judget the length of the ball wrong firstly. As it is a backfoot shot rightly he is on the backfoot apart from that not bad..

why the hell are you ging back for, thats a very bad technique if your on a real pitch and he ball swings in you will be buggered... you have to look to get on the front foot... listen i have spoken to ricky ponting the all time great when i had a cricket tour of Australia.... you need to get on the front foot at that length

dangerous thinking....youngsters until 14 should be encouraged to hit on the ground.....hitting in the air requires power....and if they dont middle the ball,power will enable them to still hit over the infield........men have this power- kids do not so be careful of this ....the other point is not valid because this is a back foot hands and shoulders through the line of the ball drill !

@TheCricketSchool even if kids have the power...still they should be encouraged to develop proper technique such as how to play each shot correctly, judgement of length, quick hands and quick feet and kids should look to play with top hand to keep the ball down.....

hitting the ball in the air doesnt require much technique...hittin the ball along the ground needs more work......therefore to develop a good cricketer from a ugly cricketer it is necessary that we provide them good coaching....
