  • Awesome song! <3 GO LIFE!!! Glad to be an animal!!!!!

  • I truly love this video...this is a song of celebration on so many levels....very humbling.

  • simply <3 it

  • I want him to read me bedtime stories. I love his voice.

  • This man and his music is sooo brilliant!

  • Uncle Tony x

  • 1 person missed the like button

  • And his daughter is a new kind of sexy.

  • @EuchridEucrow1 i agree. love a bit of melanie

  • @davebusfield What bit? ^^

  • I still this Growing Up Live DVD is one of the best concert DVDs I've ever seen. I've enjoyed others for the performances, but Gabriel packs so much into a show it's unbelievable.

  • this thought behind this song is what i try to practice in life, inclusion, NOT exclusion, too bad so much of the world and world religions are about * either my way or the highway * :( Peter Gabriel rocks! -- Erin MoonHeart

  • where can I download this song??!! I need it on my iPod now!

  • Great song. This should be released somewhere

  • it sucks that this isn't on itunes. they should put it on there.(: love peter gabriel.

  • one of the best musicians of our times

  • As long as i'm sucking in air....i will respect and share this great artist with other people. His work is timeless......

  • any ideas where i can download this as an mp3?

  • PG forever!!!!!!Last album is magnificent.....

  • Ok where the 'Uncle Tony'

  • Intelligent life is all around us

  • so much horrific news in the world today, impossible to get my mind around it. I came here to find sanctuary....it helped, ty.

  • wish i could download this

  • One of my favorite PG songs of all time.

  • Still think this would have been a great single... live so much better than on that animation film soundtrack...

  • this guy is an amazing musician and humanitarian. he didnt burn out on drugs or alcohol like most musicians of his time, and yet he will most like not be remembered by the majority of people for these same reasons. we can only hope that his music and ideas will survive, to inspire future generations that there is still good in humanity.

  • @coverchenko it has been said by a few people that he has invested some of his money in a rehabilitation centre for recovering drug users and addicts somewhere in kent! Cant help but admire so many things about this man!!!

  • been following PG since the eary 70's He has the respect of every musian and artist alive and is a genuine gentleman. I received a letter from him in the 80's for something i wrote, still got it!! my wife and i seen him at glasgow SECC. he and the band (and daughter) were excellent. Like van the man neil young and a host of others, they just get better and better and better.

  • truth

  • the best for ever and ever!

  • I've seen PG performing this song once on the "Growing Up" tour in Munich/Germany and the following year on the "Still Growing Up" tour in Vienna/Austria. I can tell you, it sent shivers down my spine when EVERYBODY started to chant and Peter used this to introduce the bandmembers...a real genius!

  • GENIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL

  • Only Peter could write a song about Bonobo Apes and make it sound this good, A genius! Might I add, Melanie looks wonderful and Rachel Z is just pure HOT!

  • this is just too awesome. used to have the dvd, lent it out, never got it back. think i'm gonna have to re-buy.

  • I'm a huge PG fan and own all his DVDs and iTunes but I haven't come across this song before. I saw this tour in Vancouver but I certainly don't recall it!

  • I saw him on this tour, and I remember this song. The only place you can find it is on the soundtrack to the Wild Thornberrys Movie, as it was featured in the film.

  • 3speckledeggs, it is on my DVD Growing Up Live. It's song number 12 on the DVD. I saw the animated kids movie The Wild Thornberrys with my kids and saw it there. It was only released on that soundtrack, but you can get it on the DVD Growing Up Live.

  • Comunication with the animal nation

  • And how many apes have landed on the moon so far or are backing up Peter at his shows? I like Peter but you know... there are all levels of intelligence. Dolphins are a bit smarter.

  • He's an abstract individual examining abstract subject matter. PS this song was written for a children's movie so don't take it too seriously.

  • The song is great. The text so what. There is a lot of band / groups with bad text and great sound. Peter Gabriel is doing it his way. Give me 10 artists who you mean have 10 points of character both text and music. Hi hi ........ Sorry about my bad engslish. Oslo, Norway

  • I think you spoke that quite well

  • @opelvectra19cdti you're right on the lyrics. besides, there are plenty of great lyrical PG songs. Darkness, Barry Williams Show, Mercy Street, Not One of Us, Here Comes the Flood...

  • How many dolphins landed on the moon?

  • They left the earth, didn't they?

Wait, no, it was in "Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy" xD

  • you dont get it do u? the only creature in the world to have achieved a communitarian social structure with no conflict, and sex as a mean of exchange is the ape. We went to the moon? So fuckin what???

Some apes have a society with no war and sex as currency!!! That's what i call civilized.

  • No matter how weird his thoughts are, I love the way Peter Gabriel thinks when he makes his music. :D

  • Manu is such a better drummer. This drummer is borderline boring.

  • even if Manu is a better drummer, Ged Lynch did great. If Peter chose him to make the tour its because hes good and can do the job

  • It is not about who is a better drummer or who is not : it is about Peter Gabriel's MUSIC!!! I am myself a HUGE fan of Manu Katche', but in this tour what really matters is the specific role of the drummer , totally different than that of Gabriel's previous tours. Then I might even agree with you, but the reality of the context is different

  • great vid

    anyone want to chat mG

  • ive got the full concert on dvd =]

  • i've seen this tour twice...one of the 3 or 4 best rock shows I've seen...

  • hes obviously not on about you then is he when he talks about intelligence ^o) muppet

  • I really can't say the emotion this song makes me fell...it's just perfect

  • i wanna hear the music the apes made!

  • what kills me is that I can't get this in an audio format - it's not released on any album even though it appeared in the gawdawful Wild Thornberries movie!

  • you can get it in a torrent format from sites like torrentspy

  • Hey Bonobo Man!

  • great riff!!

  • Aww C'mon :)!

  • Boy Creationists would really love this song. LMAO!

  • Right, I wonder if they let him play this verbatim in some deep south US redneck city...

  • You mean like Washington? :-)

  • I do love this song, lol.

  • I just love this music! PG is one of the most creative and musical artists to this day and I think I'm so blessed to know his and his band's great talent.

  • szerbusz, Zsófi!:D

  • I have this on DVD. This is easily my favorite song. I just love near the end when the energy just flies out after the very quiet part.

Great song, great live concert. I saw them in America on this tour, but it was nowhere near the caliber of this show.

  • No comments...U right eltrut96, Peter is THE man ;D

  • Excellent! Peter is the man! :D

  • thanks for posting!!! PG and the other musicians sre just amazing!!! always had a great time at a show .first time i heard this song was on his tour .totally freaked me out how he can keep coming up with shuch great music. always was ahead of his time. it's so great being able to watch music videos...what a great invention!!!

  • This is such an original song (even for PG standards), the feeling of surprise you get listening to it is beautiful. The rhythm is very special too, it's kind of hard to follow, but that's why it's an exciting song. Full of life and humanity, classical PG!

  • Amazing song, amazing tour, amazing artist. Wow. Hey, sonykus, when are you gonna upload "Mercy St." from the Growing Up tour?? I looooooved that song live, almost even more than the studio version!

  • You should upload the band presentation too! Tony Levin!!!

This show is amazing... long life to Peter Gabriel!

  • I love Gabriel, but I just can't wrap my head around this song, Not my favorite by him, although, this show was EXCELLENT

  • "Dolphins, Cats and Elephants, This Is Not Some Wild Romance."

  • ha!! That's my favorite part of the song!

  • Brilliant--new PG song for me. He's balm for the soul. Hope maybe people will know humans aren't the only creatures in the world who make music

  • Great song, loved it when I saw it live.

  • Great song. Peter Gabriel should name his band "the cuebaldos". At least now Tony Levin isn't the only bald guy on stage anymore. I guess the keyboardist will have to shave her head too though.

  • Tony Levin is my uncle :]

  • Let me meet him . he is a musical genius , along with peter

  • "Animal Nation." I almost get the Peter Gabriel's song to my 2006 film "Cars." My dream was the Piston Cup racing sequence. It's about Lightning McQueen's dreaming about a big race.

  • Amazing. This man is INCREDIBLE. Secret World. Love you Melanie!!!
