Appearance is based on personal decisions and taste. To some Toyota trucks maybe look appealing and to others it may be chevy, ford or dodge trucks. I am not a huge truck person but this truck is so appealing to me that I actually am getting into pick up trucks instead of muscle cars.

Not saying the Tundra is a bad truck but American made truck are better looking and the fact that they are American made vehicles, Toyota may make better cars/SUVs, but Ford, Chevy/GMC, and Dodge in my mind made better trucks. I'm not say don't buy it, but I wouldn't it. Sorry Tundra lovers.

I'm sure that I am a little biased that my family has been deeply involved with GM for generations back, and that my dad owns a few GM dealerships. It's not too great of a job. Anyways, you're right that I never really though of how much service and parts really add up to, mostly because I've never seen a bill for them. I've gotten several paychecks from a parts department, yet couldn't tell you how much anything in there costs.

Haha, word. I'm not loving the look of any truck right now, really. The Silverado (and otehr GM counterparts... same thing) and F150 etc. look boring. The Ram looks badass, but I think they make you look like a hick. And they make the tundra look a little ridiculous. The nissan looks like a fake truck. I don't love any of them, but I am coming around to the classic look of the silverado and fords.

The new 6.2L engines are pretty mean, and I think I could deal with the look of a new GM. I really do love the look of a black tundra extended cab regular bed black rims and shit.
