It is possible for an rap artist to rip some shit up and be sloppy about it. True, Fab did go hard probably harder than Jay, but I think it was too forced and he was a bit sloppy on his delivery. I've also found out that this version kind bored me. He's more monotone than Jay is when he raps. There is just something Jay and Santagold bring to this song that makes their song. This is kind of a thugged out version without the melody in it. Its just Fab throwing bars at you and singing off key.

In rap/hip hop music being off rhythm is as bad as being off key for singers. You don't want a song where the singer is off key the whole time just like you don't want a rap song where the rapper is off rhythm the whole song. That is how I feel about this version. I'm not hatin on Fab cause I like Fab, I'm just saying his style and his flow are not right for the song, and Hov's flow is the best flow for the song and the rhythm, which kind of slower tempo, steady beat type song.

The beat to this song is not a format for someone who has a fast kind of flow, so Fab just doesn't sound right with the beat. Sometimes there are songs where you have to match the flow with the beat, if you want it to sound right. It sounds like two different songs. This version is bad to me.
