  • 78th Frasers have always been my favorite Pipes and drum corps! The 'long time ago tune' Journey to Skye was my first acquaintance with 78th Frasers. Livingstone's compositions are an eternal blessing!

  • well said alwaysmore,,,,,

  • I'll let Bill know you don't like his strath... I'm sure he'll change it for you. And as for the second strath... it was good enough for Richard Parks and Bill Livingstone... sorry you didn't like it.

  • MARCH-ON: I like the ENDING of the march-on quite a bit, with the triplet note in it...very nice...but the tune itself is a bit clinky, isn't it? A few un-musical notes in the composition, IMO.

S'SPEY: Crummy first strathspey...totally spoils minor mood of march-on. Second s'spey is ho-hum.

REELS: 1st and 2nd: VERY nice, original-sounding tunes and musical.

AIR: Nice idea playing slow version of "At Long Last." Can't go wrong there; such a nice piece.

  • JIG: Good jig out of slow air; doesn't spoil mood but rather continues it. Nice, lively tune at good tempo; sense of "progress" characteristic of 78thF.H. medleys over the years. NIce second jig as well; exciting "building" feel.
