That show was pretty much awesome. And to be honest, I think that the premature ending gave it a better finish than the good ol' "and the good guys won and lived happily ever after. the end." I absolutely love how Shao Khan killed them all in the end, even though I never rooted for him (Shang Tsung was the man!). It's exactly what is logical to happen :)

Mortal Kombat: Conquest is one of my favorite tv shows. I miss this one so much. Paolo Montalbal, Daniel Bernhardt and Kristanna Loken did a brilliant job. Tracy Douglas was great as well. I think Siro, Taja and Vorpax should have been included to the actual game after this superb series.

MK Conquest is one of the best TV shows ever made. The program was filmed at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, and acted as a prequel to the first MK movie. This show has brilliant storyline and characters :Kung Lao (not Kung Lao from MK2), Siro (former bodyguard) and Taja (ex-thief). This trinity will save the world.
Siro and Taja remind me Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade. I still believe they should be included to the game

They did save the world. The ending of Konquest was, when Shao Kahn entered the Earthream using his shadow priests, and beated Rayden. There was a second season in making, but they didn't do it. In it, it is revealed the Elder Gods turned back time and closed the teleport gates between Earth and shaokahns realm. In the next tournament, Kung Lao (yes, the one in the Konquest, the ancestor one) was killed by Goro, and Goro reigned as a champion, until Mortal Kombat 1.

Too bad the show had just a few episodes, 20 or so, I don't actually remember, but I've seen them all and I remember that the ending wasn't too good for our heroes, even the some of the bad guys got owned by Shao Khan, I still remember the final when Raiden was on his knees.

Well that guy was ment to be the Great Kung Lao whos the ancestor of Liu Kang and present day Kung Lao, he defeats Shang Tsung but is then killed by Goro in the next tornament.
I actually liked that show, flaws and all. The over the top fighting and gratuitous amount of female flesh (Angelica Bridges anyone?) made the show a very different, very amusing diversion from the carbon copy crap that litters the airwaves. Too bad it didn't make it to the second season.

They should of had Siro, Taja and Vorpax in Armageddon. Thank god for the character creation. I went ahead and created them on the Xbox version at one point. It was a long process but it was worth it.

I'm a huge MK fan and just bought the DVD set of this TV show recently, best MK show made, even better than DOTR, and I love this theme song, wish I could find the theme song to this somewhere, but I love MK ever since I was 7, and it's what I'm all about, I know just about everything there is to know, I research it everytime I get any kind of free time, if anyone has a question, I'd be happy to answer it for you.

the game started way back in like 1992 or 1993 or something like that and the show started in 1998 and stretched to 1999

my friend told me Mortal Kombat was a show before it was a video game. I was like, No way! He was like, Yeah every video game started somewhere! This show wasn't made untill after the game! The game was first, right?

This was a great show. I folowed it from its beginning 'til its cancellation. A true shame we didn't get to see more. The best martial arts sequences in tv :')

Networks dropped it after the producers asked for a bigger budget. Shame really as they were going to show the death of Kung Lao by Goro.

Well that guy was ment to be the Great Kung Lao whos the ancestor of Liu Kang and present day Kung Lao, he defeats Shang Tsung but is then killed by Goro in the next tornament.

I actually liked that show, flaws and all. The over the top fighting and gratuitous amount of female flesh (Angelica Bridges anyone?) made the show a very different, very amusing diversion from the carbon copy crap that litters the airwaves. Too bad it didn't make it to the second season.

I loved this show, and yes mostly thanks to Angelica Bridges :P. It was awesome, half naked birds and people kicking 7 shades of shit outta eachother. They so shoulda made a 2nd series

It's kind of sad that the main characters didn't learn ki attacks especially Kung Lao, and Siro should of just used his sword.

Tekkenknight, this is actually the opening credits for a tv show called Mortal Kombat Conquest. it aired on the WB/TNT back in 1999. The show is long over..

i wish the guys from the film did this one. the film chracters were so awseme. why the fuck did they kill jhonny off in the second film? did he not wat to do it and they had to fina way to kill him off

They should of had Siro, Taja and Vorpax in Armageddon. Thank god for the character creation. I went ahead and created them on the Xbox version at one point. It was a long process but it was worth it.

And I personally prefer these looks, of Scorpion...Raiden....Quan-Chi..and the rest of them....than the looks they had in the new games ! :( ....or in the movies ! :)

It aired in 1998-99. Yeah Kristanna Loken wasen't as well know then, I just watched this and was like, HEY ! lol. Yeah I loved this show, used to watch it all the time even though I had to go to school the next morning. Too bad we didn't have DVR's then.
