@sunkentugboat i think this is getting off topic with regards to the video but i read some books indians who bought their culture to southeast asia are tamils. philippines got influence through malaysia and indonesia, and malaysia and indonesia got them from tamil traders. why there are more sanskrit influence than tamil influence in our languages?
@july071992 Sanskrit used to be the language of learned men. All other languages were more like household languages. All the ancient texts, scriptures here are in Sanskrit so people took pride in learning it I think. Whenever they felt like showing-off their learning, they used Sanskrit. Any preaching/philosophies were in Sanskrit as that's the source. It is attributed half to people who showed-off and half to real masters . . .

@july071992 Exactly. All Indian languages are influenced by Sanskrit, only the influence drops when you come to southernmost parts of India.
And Sanskrit as well as Hindi word for face is exactly 'mukha' ^_^
