It's an expensive and unnecessary habit to have, especially if you never even smoked a real cigarette before. By all means, if you are not a smoker and want to try them, go ahead. PG is also in most of your beauty products over the shelf and in many foods....thousands of products. For example farmers put in water to keep drinking water from freezing for animals. It is FDA approved to inhale as an extremely non-toxic substance so just because you "heard" about antifreeze means nothing.

Hey uhm, would your recommend it to me? I'm not a heavy smoker or anything and last year i barely smoked 1 LOL but you know this past few days have really been just partying and stuff. You could, but it's always best to ask if you can use an e-cigarette. I asked my teacher and was able to smoke in class!
So far its no known to cause cancer. There are no harmful chemicals. Nicotine is approved by the FDA to be safe for consumption, it's just addicting. They do have some that have vitamins in them, but you MUST be careful. NEVER order any liquids or cartridges from China, they put in a lot of harmful fillers in them. Do some research, and good luck!

@sugar735 The only problem with that statement is most of these starter kits are from China. Starter kits are nice for someone wanting to try them out. You should look for something like a Joye510 or an eGo for starting out. They taste better and produce more vapor.

I agree with the redneck fellow a few comments below did the feeling of the substitute rid the feeling of the tobacco cigarettes? is it a decent substitute? more than decent?

omg I cannot wait until I get my taxes next week. PG is also in most of your beauty products over the shelf and in many foods....thousands of products. For example farmers put in water to keep drinking water from freezing for animals. It is FDA approved to inhale as an extremely non-toxic substance so just because you "heard" about antifreeze means nothing.

Hey uhm, would your recommend it to me? I'm not a heavy smoker or anything and last year i barely smoked 1 LOL but you know this past few days have really been just partying and stuff. Reunions and events which really led me to smoke. I hate smoking but for some reason I want it so bad now. Luckily I can still control myself but I don't know how long I will be able to hold back.

I have found the e-cig just doesn't compare to a real cigarette, but if it works for other folks, hooray for you. It just isn't the same to me unfortunately, and that means I wasted $40 on the NJoy.

You could, but it's always best to ask if you can use an e-cigarette. I asked my teacher and was able to smoke in class!
So far its no known to cause cancer. There are no harmful chemicals. Nicotine is approved by the FDA to be safe for consumption, it's just addicting. They do have some that have vitamins in them, but you MUST be careful. NEVER order any liquids or cartridges from China, they put in a lot of harmful fillers in them. Do some research, and good luck!

@sugar735 The thing is that it has been discovered that the Nicotine caused the cells in your lungs to regenerate more often (sry for my bad english) so to "die" and "rebirth". Exactly this is the problem because the more they "regenerate" the more often cells mutate. So Nicotine is one of the cause of cancer and yea of course there were many problems or are many problems with some ecigarettes the cottons burnt or there are as you say chinese ones with toxic things in... yea greetz

@sugar735 The only problem with that statement is most of these starter kits are from China. Starter kits are nice for someone wanting to try them out. You should look for something like a Joye510 or an eGo for starting out. They taste better and produce more vapor.

In 2 months I've already saved $150! I REALLY wish had done this sooner:P The feeling & nicotine delivery really IS VERY close to what real cigs feel like - plus without the "stink". So for me was an easy switch for the addiction side. I started with the Joye 510 49.95ish? was a start & less risky I thought, for the investment:)

As far as I can tell all of you are idots, nicotine hasn't been proven to cause cancer but if you over dose on it, it can kill you. I think the FDA needs to get busy to regulate e-cigs so people don't over dose on it. Nicotine does constrict blood vessels, therefore you can die on nicotine.l

Nicotine doesn't cause cancer, it's the chemicals that are produced from burning tobacco, including those added by Tobacco companies. Nicotine isn't harmful unless you overdose on it, same as caffeine, paracetamol etc.

Nicotine has very powerful effects on arteries throughout the body. Nicotine is a stimulant, it raises blood pressure, and is a vasoconstrictor, making it harder for the heart to pump through the constricted arteries. It causes the body to release its stores of fat and cholesterol into the blood. Peripheral circulation in arteries going to the extremities is also highly susceptible to the vasoconstrictor effects of nicotine and the increased risk of clots and clogging.

But still, electronic cigarettes are orders of magnitude safer than conventional ones. So if you don't smoke, then just don't start. If you do, then switch to E-cigs, they're much much safer.

Nicotine is like caffeine, gives you that perk up and is addictive, yet nether will give you cancer.
However, if you already have cancer or cancer cells, nicotine can cause rapid growth of these cells, yet this is still not proven to happen in all cases.

I really appreciate your review. I am a little concerned about the nicaten, they always seem to give you the highest dose. I have found there from free to 200.00 not sure what the difference is. I know you can get a bottle to refill and that is alot cheaper than the cartridges. I wish you luck on quiting, thanks for sharing the info
