  • Hell yeah.....good stuff!! Akira is kickin it hardcore!!

  • Why does they get heavier?

  • They opened with this when i saw them in Santa Ana!

  • anthraxにも負けないくらい

    イケてるぜ!

  • Loudness is best from spiritual canoe forward, progressive metal!

  • I love the old Loudness, as I grew up seeing them in the 80s, but the new stuff is what Loudness's sound was originally to be. They toned down to in the Hair metal days to get an American deal. But heavy Loudness is the real Loudness. Minoru to me this at their show on Long Island.

  • @MeteoraXV are you braindead can't you hear akira scream with that axe?

  • Each band has to grow and experiment, be it good or bad; or the band would not exist. I personally Love all phases of Loudness.

  • @beardrums i agree with you 100% !

  • What a speedy! !

  • LOUDNESS >>>>>>>>>> Come in FRANCE !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • great metal band.......loudness 4ever

    r.i.p higuchi san

  • If you only like a certain sound by the band. Then you arent actually a fan of the band, your a fan of the one particular sound that they produced on one particular album. I however am fine with them experimenting with their sound and doing what they want with it, because no matter what. They'll always be Loudness.

  • The way I see it. There is new "Old, or New" Loudness. Ive never got the mentality of people who say things like that. Loudness is Loudness. Their sound is what they make it. Not what you interpret it to be just by listening to a couple early albums. I also dont get why every video has people comparing guitarists, and its plain silly. This isn't a competition, the way metal guitarists are compared now. Its becoming as bad as the douche bags who root for a football team.

  • Loudness sure has changed

    Old Loudness > Modern Loudness

Well, that's my opinion anyways. Can't say I hate their new stuff, though, but it doesn't stand up to their classics

  • @BrUSomania

They lost their identity by chasing after trends, and started wasting their talent (especially Akira) on generic chugachugachug.

  • @doghousepiiman Yup, and that's why I lost interest in Metallica as well. Love their old stuff, but just like Loudness, the new releases just aren't that great

  • Reguardless, Akira is still the best metal guitarist. Please Loudness, come back to New York City!!!

  • Actually, they are metal guitarists. Vai played for David Lee Roth, Malmstein had his own metal band, Satriani has always been on the metal charts, Lynch played in Lynch Mob and Dokken. These other guitarists/ bands might not be along the lines of Sepultura and one of my favorites: PanterA, but they are always on the metal lists.

  • Akira is a god everything about him is awesome.

    RIP Munetaka

  • Akira God. True People, True Band. True Metal.

    What else xD

  • i love this song...takasaki rules"!

  • One of my favorites from 80's, but I just hate it when they mix down the bass like this. I miss the old sound.

  • Great band. This is one heavy tune, AWESOME.

  • Akira must be considered one of ther top 3 metal guitarists off all time... when you mention George Lynch or Mary Freidman, you gotta give props to Akira-san... the man is a gift from God

  • @ProfessorIgor ....Akira smokes Vai, Malmsteen, Satriani, Lynch, and any Heavy Metal guitarists out there, Hands down. Akira is the best Heavy Metal Guitarist. I wish Loudness would come and play New York City again, I miss seeing them.

  • @Pumby0 I agree with you Akira does rip the only problem with that statement is the guitar players you named aren't really metal players... As far as smoking those guys I say no way

  • I miss the old Loudness...

  • I kinda lost them out of my site for the last 10 years but this sounds amazing.

Very different from there early stuff but very, very good indeed!

Feel a strong urge to digg up my old albums and play them again....

  • @Aggostino thats odd because from 1992 - 2000

i didnt listen to them or know they were still around since the reunion CD of 2001 ive been listening to them agaian theyv put out alot of new stuff since they reformed BUT not as good as their 80's stuff.

  • @Raymasaki I started listening to Loudness back in the early 80sh. Seen them live a few times in Holland then but stopped listening to this type of music about 10/12 years ago. Just recently started listening to old 80sh rock again. Thats how I came across them again. Thats why I lost them out of my site. Really don't know what have been up to for the last 20 years.

For me, all there albums after 1990 are basically "new material"

  • They rule

  • Gotta rank Akira as one of the best lead guitarists EVER! The man ROCKS! And so does one of the greatest metal bands of all time....LOUDNESS!!!!!!

  • wtf!!!!

  • Absolutely killer album!! All hail Akira!

  • Eh. The older stuff is better. Nice lyrics though.

  • Awesome song great solo one of the best ive heard for while.

  • Loudness is still amazing!

  • Wow, vocals sound the same, more power. I'm glad I found them again.

  • I'm glad when these guys changed they decided to go to heavy metal, it doesn't sound as good as their old stuff but hell I'll take it

  • Cool video. Even better song!!!! Akira you are the shit. One of my favorite guitarists ever.

  • かっこよす!

  • Greatest friggin' metal guitarist ever! Akira, you are THE man!

  • nice Blackmorish lead fadiing out..

  • BTW, I saw them three times in 2006. Got to meet them, get autographs, etc.

It was really cool. Chicago, VA & NC. I'm a BIG fan!!

  • @davifade Akira is one of the most underrated guitarists EVER and the song

'Street Life Dream' off the 'Lightning Strikes' album has one of the coolest solos

    EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Holy Crap.. I tried to answer all of your questions, but had to do some serious editing for the 500 limit.. hope this helps. dw

  • Well Mduenisch, Akira and Munetaka started out in their teens playing (guitar and drums respectively) in a pop band called Lazy. anyway, Akira heard Eddie Van Halen back in late 70's and decided that was the type of music he wanted to play. Lazy did get back together in 2002 and made an awesome album called Earth Ark II. Loudness only wore makeup for the Thunder In The East record/video's back in 85. Akira is one of the best guitarists out there, and believe me< I listen to them all.

  • Tell me something...and before you do, know that I just recently got into this band, and they're fucking badass...

But what I wanna know is, are they sort of sell-out-ish?

I mean during hair metal days, they wore make up, and such, and during early-mid 90's looked very grunge-like. Now they are going with a heavy fucking balls-to-the-wall attitude it seems, and I wonder if they evolved their sound, or if they were basically inspired by all music around them.

  • they wer way much better in the 80's.

  • R.I.P. Mr. Munetaka Higuchi, the best rock drummer in the whole Asia.

  • Their new album, King of Pain, comes out in May.

  • Бомба!!!!

  • Tochno!

  • Though I like them better in late '80.

This song is heavy, and I enjoy it alot :)

  • おっカッコイイ!

  • AWSOME!!! I love this band. They Kick Ass.

  • this ROCKS.....

i finally got a copy of Metal Mad...now they have a new one coming out ? hopefully !

  • I should make a Zelda Spirit Tracks compilation to this song.

  • DO IT

  • great song

  • I didn't think they were still around..... cool have to look at there new stuff now....

  • luv the lead @ 2:25..... WOW good to see the Japanese bad boys still in action !!! great musicians .

  • stop downtuning akira!

    still awesome band, rip munetaka

  • I know he sounds better in 440.

  • i dunno man, akira with his new look and all...he just looks EVEN more badass playing in a dropped tuning. akira's just an amazing player.

  • 癒される・・・・

  • tour in the Us plzzz especially near Chicago....

  • いいわ~

    これからもLoudnessを応援します!

    樋口さんの魂はこれからもLoudnessと共に生き続けていくでしょう!!

  • Yea, I must agree with you on this one.

  • People can't play the same thing forever without getting bored?

  • Comment removed

  • The only thing thats sad is Munetaka has passed away. But Loudness always has and will kick ass.

  • やっぱり樋ぐっあんはカッコいいな・・・・・・(涙)

  • 1:06

One of my favorite riffs ever.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah I know I don't, their old stuff rocked.

  • i got into them from their old stuff, but i feel like i can relate more to the new sound. i think both styles are great and for a band to be able to play both so easily is amazing in itself. i kinda wish Masaki was still the singer though.... he fits this heavy music better.

  • id have to agree with Masaki

  • quit your bitcin

  • i wouldnt expect a Dumb Newbie cunt like you to understand. you made a hide tribute video?

WOW! LOL! Go watch pokemon or sailormoon

  • like i said quit your bitchin. haha

  • Just wondering-- is there another drummer in te band yet?

  • Masayuki Suzuki is filling for Munetaka

  • Is this the same japanese band from the 1980's?

  • Yes, but they went through a few lineup changes before reuniting.

  • great solo.....great druming too

  • Reminds me of Bands like Exodus or Death Angel!´´....

  • loudness kicks butt

  • やっぱカッコイイ!

  • かっこよすぎでしょ!!

  • I like this song & MetalMad but still doesnt beat their older songs. the chugging on the e string sound seems to be on Every newer Loudness song. and minoru also using the same phrasing.

  • Chugging on the E has always been Akira's style. He just has a more detuned sound now, but that has always been characteristic of how he plays. Basically, it is because Akira plays that busy that we have always loved him.

  • Very good ! I like it

  • quit your bitchin and suck it up!

  • Their are 2 or 3 other songs on youtube from the new album that sound more like the 80's Loudness which I think are great ! And also their are some Loudness live in 2009 clips ( Crazy Night, crazy Doctor and more ) too which are amazing, They are playing the old songs just how they were played on the record, Not down tuned N slowish anymore - Search Loudness 2009 and you should find them. Personally though I love this song, Its very unique. Loudnes forever !!!!!! R.I.P Munetaka

  • I usually don't like this music style, but I DO LIKE this band.

  • Aguante Loudness carajo!!!!!

  • De una, master!

    Una masa Loudness!!

  • Best LOUDNESS song ever... and I'm partial to 1985's Thunder in the East...

  • is that still Akiri on guitar ?...

  • This is Akira Takasaki on the guitar. His wig makes us hard to recognize it, but without the strange wig he still looks "Akira" that we know.

  • Munetaka Higuchi RIP

  • wow! am 19 and got into them when i was 14.

they maybe older but much better i think?

  • i feel ya im just 18 and was barely introduced to them by my dad when i was 16. haha. Loudness Forever!

  • Killer tune! I give it a 5 out of 5 bongrips rating!

  • Dude!!! LOUDNESS STILL KICKS ASS!! I just thought about them today and thought I would come on here and see whats up! What happened to Munetaka?

  • Yup! It's unfortunate but honorary Mr. Munetaka Higuchi deceased back in Dec 2008 due to a liver cancer. He was 49. The rest of the remaining Loudness members released this album (check out other songs) with Higuchi san:s drum track that were luckily stored in the studio. Rest in peace Higutsan...

  • Muneteka Died of Liver cancer not long ago

    R.I.P. Muneteka Higuchi

  • riff of the year maybe? this year there has been awesome guitar riffs around...but as of now this takes the cake! awesome job by Loudness!

    and RIP Higuchi-San

  • Sounds way heavier than the old stuff. Awesome.

  • Can't believe this is the same Loudness that did Thunder in the East

  • Me Too... 10GPD, Thunder in the East circi '85 defines my times..past

    This is AWESOME !!!

  • I know Munetaka was proud of this album. It is simply the best that Loudness has made in years. He can rest in peace knowing that we remember him as a drumming God.

  • amen to that brotha

  • I thought the last Cd was excellent.....but this is fucking MIND BLOWING!

  • Yesterday I saw them play this song and that was really great!! Especially the vocalist, Minoru Niihara, was in his best condition in this decade. I was totally impressed!!

  • best song in years! reminds me of SDI

  • Everlasting indeed!

  • MAN!! OH MAN!! Loudness made a KICK ASS comeback! beautiful! jsut beautiful! blends together 80's and modern metal together. This is something i have been waiting for. welcome the new age of Loudness! LOUDNESS RULES!!

    LOUDNESS FOREVER!!!

  • Greate! Munetaka is still alive.

    R.I.P.

  • まさに魂宗久遠!

  • I'm very happy because Loudnes is finally back to where it should be, with Akira's shredding guitar plays, on the new album! It was a great mixture of 80's traditional heavymetal style and today's heavyness. Thanks a lot for posting this PV!
