Dad is 79 now and a cancer survivor...we'll spend the 4th with the family at "Papaw's Pool Party". We're SO proud of him for his service...and for our nephew, who was recently promoted, and has served 2 tours in the Middle East.

My friend was playing Call of duty four and said the marines are "noobs" for using the M21 sniper rather than a "skilled" weapon. He doesnt know they must go thru extensive training to earn the title Marine. He thinks the air force is better but really all they do is sit at computers and use drones nowadays. Semper fi!
I am joining the Marines, I leave for Boot Camp next month. I respect all Military Branches, cause they all protect the U.S and her people with their lives.

I for one think ALL Marines should have the blood stripe on their dress blues. It's to remind you of blood shed in battle, it should NOT be an award for reaching the rank of Corporal. You should be "awarded" with it by becoming a United States Marine! You joined a brotherhood so it shouldn't be an "award" to have something to honor your fallen brothers, you should automatically have it by joining and passing boot camp. Thumbs up if you agree.

On September 22nd 2007 I drove off Camp Pendleton for the last time as a civilian, my body may be a civilian but deep down my soul will always be in Camp Pendleton running up hills, playing fuck fuck games and of course FIELD DAYING!!!! Do I miss all of it??? EVERY FUCKING DAY!!!!!

ok listen everyone i am sorry if i offended anyone with my comment i am a former marine i did 2 tours in iraq with FAST company. the night i wrote that i was drunk and upset because after hitting an ied with our humvee i pulled out all of my friends my brothers' dead bodies and if that wasn't enough the corps threw me out with nothing but shiny things and a handshake. my gunny used to sing that to us every night before taps and i know none of that is an excuse i am sorry.
