I believe Lennon and McCartney will go down in music history as the most influential and celebrated composers. The song ' Yesterday ' is possibly the most classic pop song ever written,it became the most covered song of all time. The song ' Here,There,And Everywhere ' is probably the most beautiful and melodic song ever written.Their songs will live on and touch the lives of countless amount of people who love listening to real music. We will not see the likes of them again in the music industry
Pop today sucks. Lady GaGa, Katy Perry, and the rest of all those auto-tuned girls who can't sing don't even deserve to be in the same genre as The Beatles!
Listen 3 times and puke!?? The Beatles have endured for 40 years! Most of their music can be listened to again and again and you will keep discovering more. I've been listening to them for 40 years (and I enjoy modern music) and it keeps fascinating me. My teenage children think they are better than a lot of modern music and you'll find almost every modern musician will cite The Beatles as an influence.

@yaremus I mean what I said about listening to 3 times then getting utterly sick of it. I mean take the song, "Dizzy Miss Lizzy" from their album "Help!" The drums sound like someone banging on pots & pans randomly. Then, the guitar, sounds like someone is shouting, and the singer seems like he is just talking. Its not really music, its more of like 4 guys making random, loud & largely annoying noise. Also, of course, when comparing different noise groups to each other... (cont)
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@yaremus (cont)... The Beatles noise will be determined as better. But, when listening to real music, classical music, and comparing, then you realize, that wow, this band is just making entertaining noise, and not music in the truest sense of the word. "Popular" music will eventually die, when all of the original Beatles fans are gone, so will The Beatles shrink in popularity. I mean look, most kids who "like" them don't even listen to them in MONO, which is what they originally intended.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@yaremus that statement about the Mono proves that The Beatles are ALREADY losing popularity. People don't even remember how The Beatles originally wanted to be heard, you are seeing before your eyes people not caring about the quality of the music they claim to enjoy. Compared with classical, true musicians strive to achieve the original written sound of the creators of the music, and /or create new classical MUSIC.
@asdgjasdjghw3h And what classical musicians are you comparing the Bealtes to? Who would you consider a "true musician" according to your personal criteria? Yoko Ono perhaps? The Beatles entertained millions of people over the past 50 years. There have been many popular entertainers that have long since been forgotten in that time, but the Beatles haven't.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@TDS4UT when Paul McCartney & Ringo are gone, the Beatles will be forgotten. Consider this example, Josephine Baker who was SO POPULAR in Europe and the USA during the 20s. Now, she is forgotten. same with Elvis, people today do not remember, when it is pretty clear that when he was alive he was well known. Singing people & bands are forgotten, but music that sounds great survives. True musicians are people that play musical instruments only, singers and groups live only as long as alive.
@asdgjasdjghw3h But you still did not answer my question. So I will ask it again. If the Beatles are not true musicians, who do you consider to be a true musician? John Lennon heard the sound of a siren going past his home in Kenwood. It could have been an ambulance siren or a police siren. I wrote lyrics to the sound that he heard as "I am he, as you are he, as you are me" It was the dah-dah, dah-dah, dah-dah, dah-dah sound of the siren. It became the basis for John's song "I am the Walrus."
@asdgjasdjghw3h At the time John was experimenting with various drugs including LSD. A person's perceptions of the senses become distorted. A person doesn't see things that are not there, nor hear things that are not said, but the perception of what is seen and said is distorted. So in addition to the siren sound you hear the chorus in the background saying jibberish, nonsense lyrics.
@asdgjasdjghw3h Thankfully Lennon had a great producer for the Beatles in George Martin. Martin arranged for various classical musicians, string sections, that would replicate the sound of the siren. He also employed a chorus to vocalize the jibberish. I say vocalize because it is more talking than singing although it does ascend and descend in tonality and pitch. What Lennon did not know for classical instruments they play in different keys. Being a guitar player he dealt in tuning EADGBE
@asdgjasdjghw3h Despite his low level of technical skill as a musician, he was a great popular songwriter. George and Ira Gershwin only composed in the key of F# and had a piano made that if you depress an extra pedal would tune the piano so that all of the keys would be in F#. You do not have to be that adept as a musician to be a great composer.
@asdgjasdjghw3h To say that the Beatles will be forgotten once Paul and Ringo are dead is asinine. The Beatles popularity continues since John's death in 1980 and George's death in 2001. I would venture to say that many of the Beatles compositions rival many of the classical composers. The sadness of Paul's Yesterday. The loneliness of Eleanor Rigby. The bizarre sounds of John's I am the Walrus and Strawberry Fields forever. The Beatles were not just singers, they were composers of great music.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@TDS4UT to me they are nothing but 4 singers. Ultimately, every song by the Beatles is a song that is sung, except for very few instrumental songs. One day, when the Beatles are gone they will become like Josephine Baker, remembered by some historians of music, but thats it, imho.
@asdgjasdjghw3h The classical and jazz musicians are snobs. They go to music schools and learn how to be proficient at an instrument and learn the craft. You cannot teach creativity and John and Paul had it. The Beatles came around at the right time. There were groups with songwriters before them but they had the charm to carry it off.
@TDS4UT@TDS4UT no more creative than American musicians of rock and roll (Chuck Berry, anyone?!). And whats this about jazz, which I never mentioned as being a lasting genre? Also, what is that about classical musicians being snobs, they are mostly dead, how can they be snobs or how can you prove they ever were?! I suspect you are a troll.
@asdgjasdjghw3h And I suspect you are a troll. Classical musicians are snobs. Many of the classical composers that we now accept were once shunned by the classical music community. Mozart had many contemporary critics. So did Beethoven.
Every song of Chuck Berry's sounds the same. Berry was a one trick pony who is now riding the wave of how he was discriminated against. Mick Jagger wrote much more creative stuff than Chuck Berry ever did. And Jagger can't hold a candle to Paul McCartney.
@asdgjasdjghw3h Not liking the Beatles you are clearly in the minority and quite possibly tone retarded. Too bad there isn't an autotune for the brain because you need a few tweeks of it, bitch.
@asdgjasdjghw3h How old are you? 12? What kind of a person on this planet doesn't like the Beatles music? I can remember when Michael Jackson was at the height of his popularity that a few fans of his were saying that Michael was talented and that the Beatles had no talent. Just because Paul McCartney could not spin around a stage with his hair on fire doesn't mean that he didn't have any talent. Actually it was George Harrison who ran around EMI studios with his hat on fire in 68.
@yaremus 1 more thing, about popular music dying, I did not just mean The Beatles. I mean that any popular music, such as the popular "JB" right now among the youth (comparable to The Beatles popularity, if I may say so) shrink with the fans who enjoy him. I bet, 40 years from now, JB will be gazed upon by the 13 and 14 year old girls (and whoever else enjoys him) of today, saying how he will last forever and will be an icon for the ages, similar to what Beatles fans are doing today.
I think people are taking this Paul Mccartney death thing too far.I believe Paul Mccartney has been harrassed about him being fake and not the real Paul Mccartney with people demanding he take a DNA test.I disagree with people harrassing him just because of some death rumour from 40 years ago.Its disgusting that people force their opinions on him in public because of what they`ve seen on the internet when they haven`t any proof that he is a replacement. To harrass him in public is not on
I disagree 100% on the idea that pop music is the classical music of now. That is not true. I've talked to the young people, and they dislike The Beatles, for example. Classical music has survived, and will survive forever because it is not spoken word. Classical music, such as Beethoven, Bach, Fredrick The Greats flute compositions, etc, will last forever.
@asdgjasdjghw3h I have talked to young people as well and they don't know who The Beatles are or any classical composer of now or long ago. Maybe Beethoven. I think Paul meant the old meaning of pop (as in popular music) as opposed to today's meaning of pop (music made to be popular by using popular trends e.g autotune to grab a wide audience). I do agree that classical music will last forever.
@waljorge someone not blinded by "The Beatles." The band was enjoyed by some young people of their time, but thats it. They were frequently called "electronic noise" during their time. Compared to "The Beatles" classical music has always been, and always will be popular among some people. I mean seriously, give some of their songs a good listen! You pretty much want to puke all over the place after listening to some of their songs more than 3 times.Classical music on the other hand...
If you want to see what could be the real retired James Paul McCartney of today, go to my channel and watch the video, he goes by the name of John Halliday.
Pop music is the classical of now. So true. Perhaps not the one hit wonders but The Beatles will surely be remembered hundreds of years from now when music has moved onto new eras. Like we remember Mozart and Beethoven today
@ProducShuns dude im a crazy rock n roll fan but you can't compare the beatles to beethoven and mozart. if you actually study their music, you'll see the difference in the level of musical talent.
@01077448731 What is that difference? you Can't compare man, if you say "Oh, beethoven and mozart had more knowledge of musical theory" that's true, but at the same time, Paul for example, is one of the best singers of all time, multi-instrumentist, and A FANTASTIC SONGWRITTER, at the same level of the other two we mentioned. And let's remember Paul have written musics in all kinds of styles, not just classical, so...What's the difference in the level of musical talent?
@ProducShuns Sad part is, there's not a lot of people who really enjoy Mozart and Beethoven nowadays. In a centuries time 90% of people will think that The Beatles are boring, just like idiots nowadays think classical composers are tedious.
@ProducShuns Still a lot of kids tweeter "who tf is Paul McCartney"when they see him on an award show.If we don,t teach them they simply don,t know and keep listening to their usual crap and don,t recognize a Beatle say"who,s that old dude"sad!!!
well at least your music was the classical music of the day...don't think he realized to the full extent of this their talent/occupied by etheral power
He was so much more likeable when he was young! Right after the beatles broke up he kinda got bitter and sorta lost the thing that brought out the beauty of his soul, don't you think?
He is a musical genius, a singer with a so original and wonderful voice, a gorgeous man and that's already so much more than most (if not everyone), but he also had to be that clever, that funny ! What is left for us ??? I will never get over Paul McCartney.
The way men dressed in the '60s was so sexy. I think it's freaking awesome that four 20-ish year olds inspired so much of the youth style in England and America during those days of Beatlemania.
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MAN ON THE EARTH.His face is work of art.And he's so enchanting and adorable and hot.His facial expressions and those cute little habits...I just don't know what to say, he looks like a fuckin' baby Bambi and he's genius and one of the greatest composers of XX century, and such an amazing, intelligent, strong person and all that.I mean how is that possible?Unfortunately some people underestimate him just because he has such a pretty baby face...Well, they're all full of shit.
I love The Beatles.I love Wings.I love Paul McCartney.I love John Lennon.I love George Harrison.I love Ringo Starr.I was born in the wrong era.He is my hero.I've been in love (not like MARRY.....unless he's the young Paul ;) but still) with him since I've learned about The Beatles.Even when I didn't know anything about them Paul was still my insparation,my favorite.I've been in love with The Beatles since I was six.My room is filled with Beatles things and I always wear Beatles shirts.I love 'em
Silly. McCartney is on record for much more intelligent remarks. I'm amazed he might be remembered, in part, for this little snippet. If he had said only a little bit about how he developed an ability to play bass early on: that would have been valuable and a treasure. This makes him look stupid. Maybe he is. No idea wherein lies what genius flowed through him. No doubt about it though. Whatever genius glowed through him, only through him did it go. Nothing like him for what he did. Once.
"Happy little songwriters, just little rockers" That's so adorable the way he says it! And I love when he says "That was Hitler" and he sort of looks down. SO CUTE
Oh now wait just a minute! Listened to this for the third time: A TAXI DRIVER told PAUL MCCARTNEY that classical music was TOO HIGH CLASS for him! That's a complex if ever I heard of one!!! Good Lord man, jealous much?!!
"Aeolian cadences...miasmic climaxes...' Oh Paul, why must those technical terms sound like sex words when you say them?!! You ridiculously beautiful man! <3
We`ve got one of those retatded bastards who thinks Paul Mccartney died in 1966 and was replaced by a look alike.....the retarded stupid bastard is CinematicallyUnhappy
@trueblue374 ummm, fuck you? i definitely don't believe he was replaced by a look a like, i've seen what you've said, and taken it in a way you obviously didn't intend it to be taken. this defamation of my character is quite insulting to me, personally. the way you're handling this is completely overblown, and the fact that you feel the need to insult me, for CLEARLY misunderstanding what you were saying, is beyond comprehention. you're way out of line.
@mazziekink1 well it was kinda british, i was going for the voice of charlie the drunk guinea pig that smosh made (if you haven't seen it just search it if you want), but mine wasn't quite as good lol
Compare ANY Beatle interview with what the "celebreties" talk these days. Good Lord, ALL FOUR were (and now just two are) smart, articulate, THOUGHTFUL. It is stimulating to hear each one talking and thinking it through. The Beatles are SORELY missed.
Paul was so cuteeeeeee

@ProducShuns Still a lot of kids tweeter "who tf is Paul McCartney"when they see him on an award show.If we don,t teach them they simply don,t know and keep listening to their usual crap and don,t recognize a Beatle say"who,s that old dude"sad!!!

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MAN ON THE EARTH.His face is work of art.And he's so enchanting and adorable and hot.His facial expressions and those cute little habits...I just don't know what to say, he looks like a fuckin' baby Bambi and he's genius and one of the greatest composers of XX century, and such an amazing, intelligent, strong person and all that.I mean how is that possible?Unfortunately some people underestimate him just because he has such a pretty baby face...Well, they're all full of shit.

madspets 1 month ago
Once.

We`ve got one of those retatded bastards who thinks Paul Mccartney died in 1966 and was replaced by a look alike.....the retarded stupid bastard is CinematicallyUnhappy
trueblue374 2 months ago
@trueblue374 ummm, fuck you? i definitely don't believe he was replaced by a look a like, i've seen what you've said, and taken it in a way you obviously didn't intend it to be taken. this defamation of my character is quite insulting to me, personally. the way you're handling this is completely overblown, and the fact that you feel the need to insult me, for CLEARLY misunderstanding what you were saying, is beyond comprehention. you're way out of line.

Compare ANY Beatle interview with what the "celebreties" talk these days. Good Lord, ALL FOUR were (and now just two are) smart, articulate, THOUGHTFUL. It is stimulating to hear each one talking and thinking it through. The Beatles are SORELY missed.
