My cat used to attack my neighbors rottweiler when it would come to say hello to her. It would squeal and run away. :D I miss that kitty. She passed away a year ago of old age. :'(

Obviously dog was just playing, but you can see from this that if the cat was actually being attacked by something it wouldn't stand a chance cause it doesn't really attack back. >.<

@tglander99 It gave it a little paw but nothing like anyother cat would do. It probably felt like a butterfly landing on its face lol. For the most part it just sat back and did nothing. But their nature and the fact that they aren't aggressive is one of the beautiful things about maine coons.

Sorry for your loss Samson was a beautiful cat. I'm on owning my second maine coon cat now namws Zeus. I know how hard it is to lose a cat, especially a maine coon. My 1st maine coon named Mouse was given to me at age 8. I only had her 5 years when two weeks after her 13th birthday she had a stroke & passed away in my arms. I wish I had pictures of her. So happy I got my second maine coon on video atleast.

I have to find out how to upload it on youtube. So people can enjoy seeing him. Sadly he's almost gone completely blind now. Due to my city's workers using too strong of chemicals when spraying the park two blocks away. It even made me ill.

@klsuperman It was the humane thing to do. The cat was slobbering, drooling, could not eat because of a tumor at the tongue base. So his fur was always wet in the front, and food was scattered around his bowl. So I took him to the vet and we decided that he'd had a good run of 15 years, and it was time to send him to kitty heaven. So that's what we did. Then my step daughter drew a picture of him and posted it on the fridge. We'll always remember that cat!

I'm so sorry Samson got sick, I had a beautiful tabby who just passed in December it seems they had similar issues, I took him to the vet repeatedly and they couldn't find the problem, but from what it sounds like Samson and bailey suffered from the same things and I was to late to identify it

Maine coons are just to laid back to attack really hard but sometimes when maine coons get really annoyed they sort of do a moody groan or hiss or they give the target a really big hit but this only happens rarely

Maine coons are just to laid back to attack really hard but sometimes when maine coons get really annoyed they sort of do a moody groan or hiss or they give the target a really big hit but this only happens rarely

Samson may have been an easy-going guy, but if our canine friend pushed him too far, he would have been seeing stars for weeks. I've seen cats half that size beat the living tar out of dogs twice as big.

@tglander99 im sorry for your loss, i laughed so hard at how paitient Samson was. I've got 2 cats of my own and i can't even imagine at this point of losing them. Thank god they are still kittens! Loving the enthusiasm of your dog though! :D

Hahaha that is hilarious! Being a typical dog, he wants to play! Samson being a typical cat and a maine coon to boot, doesn't give a damn. Sorry abt Samson though. At least he lived a good life and even though he didn't say it but I'm sure your family was such a comfort to him.

That cat has some fantastic control. Its nice to see propperly socialised cats and dogs. The dog might have crossed a line slightly when he nipped at the cat, but it seemed as if that was normal for the two.

He looks like th e top of your cat^^ He is my best friend and i fear the day he leaves me:( Maine coons are more like dogs or large cats than a house cat.
