I think she should be breed to big brown because she has the distance but not the shorter end of the stick but and big brown has the medium and who knows that could produce a fine foal

I don't know a lot about Rags, but I saw a video or TV episode where she was in her stall and Pletcher was standing outside talking to reporters. Rags didn't like him getting the attention, and bit him. I think this is the perfect song for her. She's pregnant now; met this guy named Giant's Causeway. He has a great pedigree (not as good as hers, but then she's better than Queen Elizabeth). Before long we'll have Baby Rags!

I remember watching the race like it was just yesterday. I was screaming and jumping like a maniac - scared the absolute crap out of my kids! What a thrilling run for a beautiful filly. Would LOVE to see Eight Belles win the Derby. GIRL POWER!!! Hee hee.

I was at the Belmont that day as a surprise birthday trip from my parents. I was originally rooting for Hard Spun....But then here she came.....and it was all over...It was just so incredible...indescribable really...I know Ruffian was looking down and so proud....

First off Ruffian is female so no. Also unfortanlly she didn't make it to the breeding shead because of a breakdown that lead her euthinzination. Her father's name is AP Indy who also won Belmont at 3.

No Ruffian did not win the Belmont. She was never in any of the TC races. She raced Foolish Pleasure in a match race in what was supposed to be a race between the Derby, Preakness and Belmont winners. Sadley Ruffian broke down in the match race. Rags to Riches was the first female in 19 years to win a TC race and the first to win over 100 in the Belmont.

OMG! I saw her race on the day and I was rooting for her to win! I love the AMAZING resemblance she has to my girl. exception of just a couple things, but that's it. They have the same personality though. ^_^

I don't have horses, but I own Great Danes and I can't keep my eyes off Rags ! What a beauty in every way. What's next for her after yesterday's unfortunate loss at the Gazelle.

that was a hard loss, she came out of that race with a bone splint, she will be back late next spring.

rags to riches was the first filly to win the belmont in 105 YEARS and she looks almost exactly like my lil year old filly miss erin who i hope will be the next great racer the only diffrens between the two is that rags to riches has a widder blaze but it looks exactully the same

great job on the video clips. Rags was my pick for the belmont even before the Derby. I would've been heart broken if she'd not have been in it. Glad she was and the outcome was of no surprise at all. She's a great filly with incredible balance.

you can get on the backside if you know a trainer who'll sign for you, or you get a license to be there. Such as a groom, exercise rider, jockey, owner, trainer etc. license. That takes more work though. LOL!!
