You can't bat the way Sehwag does and average over 50 without being a batsman of somewhere near the highest class. What's more a lot of his biggest tons seem to come when all is crumbling around him - often accounting for over or close to 50% of the teams total. Compare that with Michael Clarke (a fine player in his own right) for whom the average team total when he makes a ton is 534 (his own highest score is 166), and the lowest completed team total for a Clarke test ton thus far is 463.

I rate this knock as one of the best of that year because he made a double century when the entire team collapsed against the 'mystery-spinner' Ajantha Mendis.

Yes, he is an aggressive batsman, but that doesn't mean he just lays into each delivery. Actually, if you've seen Sehwag's innings closely, he seems to pick up the slower balls and subtle variations better than most others.

That tells me he has a great eye and sense of judgement for the length of the ball.

You are mistaken, my friend... Maybe you are talking about someone else. As for Shaoib, he may be a druggie. But more importantly, he bowls with an illegitimate bowling action and that must not be allowed. I have always maintained that.
