  • is this any good for indie rock? like arctic monkeys?

  • hey Jimmy!

  • basically it kicks ass haha

  • with all the respect .

this is the most shitty hamp that fender ever made..

  • @trindadedani Well, to each their own. I am very pleased with this "hamp".

  • @Master0Shake same here

  • @trindadedani why is it the shittiest??explain yourself

  • The rehearsal studio my band rehearses has a couple of these, a Marshall DSL tube amp, a Marshall Valvestate head and 4x12 and a Marshall Valvestate 2x12. This amp is my amp of choice there as I never fail to get a great sound from it . Only problem is anything over 2 on the volume drowns out the rest of the band! Love it so much given the price that I'm thinking of getting one at the weekend.

  • hey you think this amp goes over a drum set's sound?

  • @alexwllrd Hell yess i had the 65 watt version and it was way over my drummer and I have a 20 watt fender mustang that goes over my drummer

  • like a christmas tree??? one red light??? LOL.....bloody nice amp....great video..cheers

  • I'm getting this in a week.I love Fender amps and their clean channel

  • @aaron93m this amp is not good at all the only thing good is the clean channel

  • @joeyjeremiah1 So? i'm getting a boss pedal for the distortion

Yes, the clean channel is good that's why im getting it.You just need to find the right settings for the amp that you feel comfortable with.Still getting this

  • @joeyjeremiah1 Prove it.

  • @Master0Shake ill make a vid just to shut u up

  • @joeyjeremiah1 Prove it.

  • "I am afraid to play it on volume ten with my pedal due to a creeping expactation that it will blow up." :D

  • @Bobbeldibobable Hahaha!

  • is it loud...?

  • @mangafreek Yeah.

  • @mangafreek

    oh yeah

    Fender Amp's are always loud

it's impossible to play it not loud

  • you can see it like up like your chrismas tree lol nice man :)

  • "its got a lot of knobs on it" LOL

  • @rogerneeb Yeah, I didn't exactly have a script for it, and I didn't "reherse". Haha.

  • lol dude i have the same freaking fear that my amp will blow up. i got the same amp and i won a digitech rp90 and the most i have gone is like 3 1/2 do you have any idea if the amp could handle it if you went like lets say 8?

  • @greenredthing I have never went passed four with my pedal on. Haha. I seriously thing it will blow out the speakers. Haha. I have gone full blast on clean though. It handles it then.

  • ok . thanks. mate!

  • can you connect a cab to this amp , if you can. what input????

  • @qlino1313 no

  • @trijigon Thank you for the clarification, bro.

  • @trijigon no problem

  • With a sound proof room would I still piss of my neighbours with this thing? (Not Completely Sound proff, i guess i can't do that perfectly)

  • @TheLonesomeRaven Absolutely. Crank up a nice metal pedal through the clean channel. That'll Kill 'Em All. ;)

  • @DrTaz Hell yeah!

  • @TheLonesomeRaven Probably. Haha. This thing gets LOUD.

  • Question: How would a Boss ME-70 sound through this beast?

  • @ozzcar1 Damn near orgasmic.

  • should i get the peavey valveking, the vox valvetronix 100 watt, the fender frontman 212r, vypyr tube or fender super champ XD

  • @JvTheSkiier Haha. Thanks! This isn't "my" room though. It's my old living room. We were in the process of moving into a new house, so the house in this video pretty much became a party pad for whoever wanted to come over, drink, and get laid. Haha.

  • @Master0Shake sex, booze, and rock&roll basically :')

  • please help me this is a good amp for playing in a school?

  • @jorgeverallosa Yes.

  • The slightly older models are so much better, this one sucks. I have the older model, black mesh, called the 'FM' 212 R, as opposed to frontman 212 R. Recently tried the newer ones and they are completely different, dont get this one!

P.S. you are retarded, mainly for not knowing what the mid-contour button does (fairly self-explanatory) and just in general as well.

  • @brucifer1029 You're a dick. I've never heard of a Mid Cotour before I made this video! I bet you didn't know what a mid contour was until somebody told you. Whether or not this amp sucks is a matter of opinion.

  • Nope, the fact that it's called the 'Mid contour' button as well as the obvious change in the sound indicated to me that it scoops the mids out.

    Cool gear review bro

  • @brucifer1029 Well I didn't know how to word it at the time, man. You're acting odd now. In the first comment it was like you hated this video, and now you're saying it's a cool gear review. Well, regardless, thanks for the comments. Also, I'm glad you enjoyed it....if you actually enjoyed it.

  • how is it with pedals overall? especially overdrive pedals

  • @myoozzick Read some of the earlier comments. I have been asked this question several times. Go look at my newest video entitled "Death Approaches". That's a Boss Metalcore pedal.

  • Thats a nice amp i was playing one yesterday and saving up for it and i can see you like your Metallica

  • @wildosk8s Like? Oh no. I LOVE my Metallica. Haha!

  • Thats a nice amp i was playing one yesterday and saving up for it and i can see you like your Metallica

  • Ummmm...next time .. lets hear the clean tone. We got what... a few muffled notes and thats it.

  • Does this amp work well with pedals? How is the distortion? are pedals better through the effects loop or the front? help fast i need help!!!!!!

  • @posiedonpowertrio Go through the front. And the distortion that you're hearing The distortion that you're hearing is the amp's built in.

  • CUN-TOUR?

  • is it really powerful with heavy stuff? is it good?

  • Check out my videos. This is the only amp I use. With exception to the "Iron Man" video from four years ago.

  • this is 100 watts correct?

  • @theboner123 yeah..

with two 50W 12 inch speakers.

  • I'm deciding between a combo and a half stack... Is this amp loud enough to play small to medium sized gigs without being miked up? Or should I get the 1/2 stack?

  • This amp is definitely more than capable. I am not kidding you when I tell you that on volume setting two, I get the police called on me for noise complaints from the other side of the block. This thing is INSANE.

  • Practically same here its like Volume 1. Thats rpetty loud. Volume 1.5-2 SHIT TURN IT DOWN. Dont want council knocking on my door taqkin ma stuff xD

  • @Master0Shake SO its not for a practice amp :P I was thinking of going for a 65r the 6g watt version. Will There be a sound quality decrease? I also want to use a boss gt10 on it so any input would be nice.

  • does this give some AC/DC sound ?

  • A buddy of mine played some AC/DC on my amp. If you want a KILLER angus young sound, look no further my friend.

  • how does this amp sound with distortion pedals?

  • Fucking awesome is how it sounds. Just check out any of my guitar videos.

  • What's up Jim?

  • can you hook this up to other amps

  • With ease. I've done it several times.

  • blah blah blah blah blah blah....... all that talk.... will yo just play the bitch???

  • Check out my guitar videos if you want to see me play this bitch. She sounds wonderful!

  • "It kicks ass"

    "Thanks Jim"

  • sup jimmy

  • hey can you plug this amp straight into the wall?

  • Yeah, you can, much like 99% of every other amplifier on the market. However, in this video; even though you can't see it; I had to use an extension cord and plug it into another outlet in a different room thanks to the blown fuse.

  • lol turn your lights on

  • blown fuse.

  • Anything effect you run through this amp sounds awesome and comes through amazingly. Any pedal I've used at least.

  • "basically it kicks ass".... "thanks Jim" haha

  • haha

  • This amp + Big Muff NYC = (what do you think?)

  • I'm not familiar with the Big Muff NYC.

  • Alright. In other words: a really heavy fuzz pedal (think early smashing pumpkins.)

  • I think it would sound great, actually. Every pedal I have ever used on this amp works great.

  • Works great with my fuzz factory

  • If I forget to shave my sack, my girl calls it a fuzz factory. Just saying.

  • i recently buy one and im disappointed, when i first plugged in it comes this terrible static, and in like level 2, then i put the distortion and it was even more noisy, i wanna ask you if the amp really sound like that, with a lot of static and buzz?, beacouse if it is, im gonna send back this baby to the shop :D

  • Send it to the shop. Mine sounds fine.

  • @xxxretrorockerxxx it may be your guitar.

  • Does it? I have an Fuzz fz 5 pedal, would it go good together?

  • never used one of those myself, but I don't see any reason it wouldn't

  • does this amp sound good with a distortion pedal on the clean channel?

  • Yes/

  • So pedals sound good with this amp?

  • I just bought this amp and I've had it at volume 5 with my guitar volume around 5-8 and it wasn't loud at all! I've heard from all the reviews that this amp is loud but mine is not. Was your guitar all the way up on 10 when your amp was just over 1?

  • if you have a floating bridge that could have something to do with it. floating bridges are the worst thing you can do for your tone. if not then i have no clue

  • What are you talking about?

  • Does it work well with pedals??

  • It is the best amp I have ever used a pedal with. Effects, wah, distortion, anything you can think of. This amp will handle it and then some. You can hear it with a pedal by listening to my Am I Evil? - Raining Blood video.

  • is there an effects loop?

  • No, sir. I covered everything in this video.

  • Battery and Cyanide =p

Is the amp good for Metal, thrash metal, like Metallica ?

  • Yes it is. Kindly refer to my newest guitar video (Am I Evil? and Raining Blood) to hear for yourself. I hope you will be pleased.

  • Put a distortion pedal in front of it, otherwise it won't be enough distortion.

  • whats up jimmy

  • is this a good metal amp? i need a loud one to be heard over my friends drums, but i wanna know if its good for metal

  • battery ;)

    Nice amp

  • this amp is too loud to play at home.

You can't go +2 in the volume...

  • That's why i luurve having a multi fx to go with it; to keep the volume down a bit.

These amps have a lovely clean channel! Not much of a fan of the distortion channel though, too American-ish but that's just my taste.

  • I'm with you on that. I don't dig the built in distortion, that's why I use a pedal. I literally never use built in distortion for any amp. Not loud enough. But, what I love most about this amp, in particular, is the outstanding clean setting. The sound is so crisp, it just sounds like a loud unplugged guitar.

  • Im geting this amp next month

  • thanks for this bro

  • Not a problem guy. Keep rocking.

  • After 45 seconds I've lost the will to live. Yet another tedious vid, slow speech, telling us what we can find on the web,....just get on and let us hear the bloddy thing!

  • Fuck off. I got a new amp, I liked it, so I wanted to make a video explaining what I liked about it. Fucking sue me.

  • Comment removed

  • stick it to em bro!!!!! haha what kind of guitar are you playing in the video

  • A white B.C. Rich Warlock Revenge. She's a real sweet axe. Her name is Shelby.

  • nice i love metal guitars

  • i dont

  • It was either this or the Marshall MG100HDFX stack, I think I like this better....

  • heyy. emm.. so you plug in your pedal in the input? thats not good lol.... dosn't it have an input that is for pedal?

  • If you want to use the built in distortion, there is an input in the back for it. But I think built in distortion sucks, so I use a Boss Metalcore, or a Digitech Death Metal pedal. I plug the guitar into the pedal, and then the pedal into the amp. What makes you believe that plugging a pedal into the amp is bad?

  • cause usually when you plug in a pedal to the amp you need to bypass the whole thing on top... but i just noticed there isn't any eq setting on it.. so i think it will work... thx :D

  • The amp isnt exactly made for metal , the distortion doesnt suck , its great for classic rock , remember its a fender not a peavy or mesa boogie

  • Im with you on the less than one setting, and a max of 4, cause i own this amp and its insanely loud. It will NOT blow up at 10, however i have had the cops at my door a few times when i was at about 5.

  • is it a tube amp ? and should thit thing would fit better for blink 182 stuff than a peavey 6505

  • To be completely honest, I hate blink 182, so I wouldn't know how it sounds over this amp. Although, I have heard many styles of music over this amp, and they all sounded great. So I am sure that Blink 182 would sound fine on it.

  • Oh and it's not a tube amp, it's transistor based.

  • its solid state...and i love blink 182...Wahts your favorite song by them

  • my favorite song is reckless abondon and story of a lonley guy and gine me one good reason xD what is solid state ?

  • solid state means its a speaker not a tube...but in this amp it is a 212 which means there are two 12 inch speakers...

  • Lol. Learn your terminology bro. By your logic, you're saying that tube amps don't have speakers.

    Yet another retarded Youtuber.

  • i didnt say that tube amps dont have speakers...how the hell else would they produce sounds without speakers...what i meant was the solid state is 2 speakers but the tube amp has tubes and speakers

  • i dont see you with any vids so you have NO right to say that

  • Yes, yes; because the number of videos that one has on their youtube account is the projection of their intelligence quotient. DUMB ASS.

  • Very sorry for trying to stand up for you and help you , dumb americans are SO stupid you dont even know what good is

  • Well, you're logic is just as dumb as wynnewoodswim08's. Your saying that he's smarter because he has a few videos, what the hell? How does that make sense? Fuck off with you're racism punk, damn foreigners.

  • Who is this comment aimed at?

  • Thejollyguitarist. I'm sure you will agree even to the slightest degree.

  • does it have a output for hooking up multipule amps?

  • I believe it does in the back. I'd have to double check on that though. It might have one in the front. I'll check that for you as soon as possible and get back to you on that.

  • thanks, I'm about to order it.

  • hey jimmy

  • mid contour scoops the mids im assuming =/

  • I'll go with you on that, I don't know anything about that.

  • Hey, sup?

I just went to a Guitar Store today and erm, i tried this fender with my Schecter Demon fr. I loved how it sounds, the clean is awesomely awesome and the distortion is really cool!

Anyway, my guitar has duncan active pickups and when i used drive (With the red light turned on, or more drive..) if i moved my hand from the strings the amp starts making that "feedback" noise, like...piiiiiiiii---IIIIIIIII!!!! You know... would it be cause i plugged it in input 1 with my active pickups?

  • Here I am again! New question: can you plug two instruments in it? Because I've just noticed that it has two inputs.. You mentioned something about input 1. So?

  • Input one is for high sensitivity pickups, input 2 is for lower sensitivity.

  • right i have an epi les paul so what is that High or low?

  • basically it kicks ass

    thank u jim XD

and i'm thinking of buying this amp and did u have any problems with it when using it?

  • I have some questions, because I'm thinking about buying it. Is it strong enough to be able to perform on stage with drums? Which is the difference between this one and the same model, but black?

  • I think that the FM-212R that has a black speaker screen is merely just a different color. I have performed with this amp with a drumset right next to me. Works like a charm. Whenever you perform with it, tape it and let me see it.

  • I got a few questions if you dont mind helping me out real quick, might buy this amp just have a few need-to-knows.

Hows the reverb at loud levels? Hows the clean head room, like does it get distorted at loud levels on clean? Ever have any problems with yours?

  • Sure I don't ever mind helping out fellow musicians. I have good news for you my friend! The reverb is GREAT even at high levels of volume, and the clean is great too. Just as long as when you play clean levels you don't pluck real hard, just play it soft.

  • Thank you! I'll try to do that.

  • Comment removed

  • Effects, like which? Isn't reverb the only effect this amp features(no matter black or silver)? Is it better to have dedicated(one for clean and the other for drive?) speakers or both at ones?

  • Eh sorry my mistake i got the FM 212 DSP and the black frontman mixed up... the black frontman is the same as the silver one. the FM 212 DSP is the one with effects and dedicated speakers. and i suppose having dedicated speakers is in your own preference of what you like. i like having both speakers run at the same time.

  • :))ok, thanks!

  • Hey! Is there any way of pluging in a CD/MP3 player?

    thanks!

  • Yeah, but I don't recommend it. An old friend of mine, who's a dick, would plug in his I-pod all the time, and I had to change my speakers because it couldn't handle the drums, voice, bass, and guitars at the same time. But, if you still want to do it, here's how. If you look in the back of the amp, you'll see a wire with a red cap, and a wire with a white cap. Unplug either one, and plug it into your Ipod/CD Player/MP3, or what have you.

  • Thanks a lot! One more question: pluging a MP3 through an efects pedal would cause the same damage?

  • Not to the pedal. I'm not saying it will definitely cause damage, just don't make it too loud.

But yeah, putting an MP3 player through an effects pedal is fun to do. Try messing around with it through a wah pedal, that's even more fun.

  • Has it an external output for speaker? ohms?

  • I think it does. I'm not at my house to check right now, and if it does have one, I have never used it.

  • awesome thanks!!

  • is the frotmen good for a bullet strat???

  • I haven't ever played a bullet, but I'd say it would be good for any guitar. Give it a shot at any guitar center.

  • I should be getting one soon for only 300...though the seller didn't say anything other than Fm212 so it could be the DSP.

  • Well even if it isn't this mode, it's still Fender. Fender makes really outstanding amplifiers. When you get it, if it's not the FM212-R, post a demo of it so I can get a look at it.

  • man, i know i said this, but i am JEALOUS!!!

  • Haha! Thank a lot man! I do suggest getting this amplifier. It is the best one I've ever used in my life. The price is really fair as well. It's only about $400.00 U.S. currency.
