  • What do you have your timeing set at?

  • @timmyahhh I dont really know. I just set it by hand, until it pings with 93 octane and then back it off a tad.

  • bird chirp, bird chirp,,,,,,,,,,WHAM!!!

  • @SuperJohncenarko Yeah that was funny

  • what pipes do you have ? cause i wanna get this same cam

  • @MrBrey1 Dynomax bullets and 2.5 inch mandrel bent exhaust from JEGS made for A bodys.

  • @jayrod2 thanks man i love that sound, and by the way 69 chevelle is my dream car

  • @jayrod2 what length are the bullets, do you know?

  • @MrBrey1 I dont remember, I sold this car.

  • what kind of primer did you use on the block? does engine enamel out of a spray can not stick very well to bare iron?

  • that sounds bloody awesome

  • nice

  • nice chevelle check out the video of my dads 85 trans am it also has a 355

  • what where the valve spring specs for it

  • how much was the machine work? on the block?

  • nice truck do you have to run higher octane fuel because of the higher compression rate or do you just run regular fuel ? get back to me if ya can

  • @TheCoby420 Truck??

Anyway, Its tuned to run 93. No detonation.

  • sorry i replied to the wrong video some how haha nice car tho sounds nice did you have to change your springs and shit for your cam ?

  • @jayrod2 must think its an elcamino

  • Sounds mean. Do you have vacuum problems with this cam?

  • @DansChevy350K10 Nope.

  • @jayrod2 Ok. Cause I am building a 350 60 over, with about 10.2 to 1 compression. And i was wanting a big cam, but i didnt want to loose my vacuum pressure.

  • @jayrod2 Ok, Because I am building a 350 bored 60 over, and I was wanting a big cam. But I didnt want to loose vacuum for my brakes.

  • @DansChevy350K10 This car didnt have power brakes though.

  • @jayrod2 Ok. Do you like the race bullet mufflers?

  • @DansChevy350K10 Love em. I have them on the 383 T/A under my vides too.

  • @jayrod2 Kool. They sound real good. Im trying to figure out what mufflers im gonna run on my new motor.

  • @DansChevy350K10 i built a 350 bored .60 with a big ass cam and i have no vacuum problems whatsoever

  • those valve covers might leak with the t handle bolts . I never used them on again after the 1st time they vibrated loose and cause big mess on my nice newly painted engine

  • @wan2byoda They have never leaked and I keep an eye on them, Believe me.

  • sounds nice and nice car. makes me wanna get my car up and out now:)

  • thats what im talking about power of a 350

  • Just installed this cam over 4th of july weekend That Ive had for a few years into my 84 camaro.

Can't wait to finally drive it.

  • hydro lifters or solid roller? how are you liking those dynomax bullets?

  • @zcouch89 AGREE!!!... please dont put the camera under the car... it makes it very hard to actually hear the exhaust... other than that... NICE CAR!!!

  • @zcouch89 I agree. That was more of testing the cameras mic.

  • @jayrod2 hey jayrod2 im running basically the same set up exept i got a 272* durationand a .454 int and exh cam , how much hp are u producing?

  • @jayrod2 how much hp are u producin?

  • nice sound. cuh chunk cuh chunk. sounds nice dude music to my ears.

  • nice engine dude- almost exactly to mine i put in 67 camaro-- i went with the 268 extreme energy comp cam though.. check it out on my page

  • same type engine i built for my 67 camaro- except for cam- i went with 268 extreme energy comp cam- check it out on my page-- but nice engine man

  • nice,is this combination pull hard ?how many HP?

  • That quite a rough idle.

  • first time postin comments no one ever got my attention like ur du shs bahg saaassss kean uhh pleeese speelll chekkk mi theehxs

  • @nattyicse Use proper English and then maybe, just maybe, someone might take you seriously.

  • Nice lope. I haven't heard anything like that in years. Soupie... Great job.

  • YOUR CAR SHOULD BE ON THE SHO PINKS

  • Oh shit!!! No wonder it left me stranded the other night. That darn overspray! Guess it will never run again lol.

  • XX:XXX 1/4mille ????????

  • Exactly.

  • @jayrod2 LMAO i got that!

  • any idea on how much power your putting down? I have a very similar setup in my truck but the motor is too fresh to go dyno.

  • Are your race bullets 2 1/2 or 3 inch?

  • 2 1/2

  • Sounds nice. Just need a gear drive and it'll sound like 1969 again. ;D

  • you already have a cam with a 106 lsa just need more duration try cranes 282 duration advertised .470 lift good street cam hits hard has a 106 lsa also, and not alot of lift i ran this cam with stock springs n a set of stock 882 heads had 8.5:1 compression made 230hp and 270 tq at tha wheels u would be happy with this cam part number-10008

  • its just a crate 350 with 8:5.1 as far as i know. i put the bullet 2 1/2 mufflers on with a 2 1/2 H pipe set up, normally aspirated. ive heard of people running this exact cam on STOCK 350's but idk if their's was 8:1 or 9:1, just wanted your opinion.

  • Beautiful sound

  • Do you think i could pull this cam off in a 8:1 350 with a 2800 stall and the lift being .480/230 dur. @ .50? will i for sure need new springs on the stock iron heads? ive got a crane energizer with .450 lift and 218 dur. on a 106 LSA but i want more power and cam cackle just like yours.

  • Why is your compression so low? Turbo? The higher compression is what will give your cam that crackle sound.

  • exhaust sounds like shit u need flowmasters 40s

  • Yeah right, so I can be just like everyone else. The flowmaster sound is the exact sound I didnt want. I purchased my mufflers based on performance first, and sound second. Thats something you wouldnt know anything about though. All I have to do is look at your videos to tell how ignorant you are.

  • @jayrod2 I agree with you about the flowmasters, check out how good my car sounds with a set of full boar mufflers, it ran better with these than with the flows and I really think it sounds better now

  • flowmaster is overrated if you look in jim hands how to build high performance pontiac books you will see how crappy they flow they only flow a little bit better than a stock muffler from a 69 pontiac, there good for bone stock low compression engines like 95 percent of people have, hey man nice sound im getting bullets with a x pipe on my 1981 trans am i got 10.5 to 1 compression and a crane energizer 286 cam with 1.6 rockers, is your car pretty loud on the street?

  • i just got glasspacks bolted to my headers right now and its retardedly loud like you honestly cant even talk to people in the car unless you scream hahah

  • Same with mine on the street. You have to yell. You were spot on with the FM comment. The average person doesnt realize that. They just buy whats on the shelf at Autozone.

  • @transamman1990 yeah it's loud but not too loud, when it's idling you have to talk pretty loud to be heard, I pulled the 383 stroker out and I'm building a 400 smallblock with 13:1 dome pistons, gear timing and a blower cam, I'm taking the 171 street blower off and putting a new 871 blower with dual carbs, I'm building a new exhaust system with thrush mufflers, I already have the same kind of mufflers on my Olds 442 and it sounds damn good, I know the 400 smallblock is gonna sound different

  • @1986supernova

You're running 13:1 DOME pistons with an 871 supercharger??? Sounds like a recipe for DISASTER.... Better do some more homework before you build that engine

  • @Badchevee1 Maybe he is running nitro lol Thats the only way top fuel funny cars get by with using high compression and a supercharger.

  • @Badchevee1 hahahahaa

  • Sounds beastly! my car is 71 nova ss, I just built a 10.0:1 350 w/ dish pistons, 320adv 275 @ .050" 580 lift solid cam, noisey pete jackson gear drive, ported iron bowtie heads with 195cc runner 52cc chambers 2.05-1.60 valves, 1.5 roller rockers, super victor intake, race prepped holley 750, complete MSD, hedman longtubes through dual 2 1/2" flowmaster super 44's and 4 speed b/w super t-10 tranny with a 4.10 posi 12 bolt... ill have a video soon, the motor is still on the stand LOL

  • @Badchevee1 hey i have a set f cast iron bowties also with 205 valves but i do not know the chamber size and cannot find any info on the internet can u help me

  • @chevypower406 They started as a 64cc chamber, if they have been milled they're smaller than 64cc... You'll have to CC them to get the actual size though

  • @Badchevee1 well its odd because i google the numbers and i find nothing its like they dont exist. they probably have been milled there ported

  • @chevypower406 What casting number? mine is 14011034, they used the same casting number for phase 1 and phase 2 bowties. on phase 2 heads, the casting line is milled flat and the cooling passages have a bulge on the sides, by the exhaust ports. They are also angle plug heads. they produce good power, mine made 440+HP on the dyno with 9.0:1 and a 2bbl holley carb. They make over 525hp with 10+:1 and a 4bbl with a .550" ish lift cam.

  • @Badchevee1 hell yeah mine are the same ones. i have manley pro flow valves in em and there set up for a 630 lift solid roller cam and with my tunnel ram it otta be an ass ripper. thanks for the help

  • @chevypower406 mine also have manley pro flo valves, manley 1.550" double springs, manley titanium retainers and 10* locks... They have also been angle milled, bowl blended and pocket ported.. They are good heads, for how old they are :)

  • @Badchevee1 have you dynoed the engine you described above

  • @chevypower406 No, I ended switching bottom ends. Now i have a CNC machined, balanced and blueprinted 355 shortblock from CNC Blocks NorthEast. All forged internals with a 43lb crank, 6.125" h beam rods, mahle coated flat top pistons @ 0 deck. Same top end and camshaft though, A little more compression too, this one is 11.5:1. We figure with the right carb and timing/tune it should produce close to 550HP. Im putting a 200 shot on top of that as well :)

  • that chevy 350 sounding right

  • my friend has a 355 its got around 500 to 550 hp its built a little bigger than mine is

im hoping to get around 500 hp and about

high 300's to middle 400's to tha wheels

  • my 355 is got a lunati hydraulic roller cam with .550 lift and im gonna put a set of speed pro 10.2:1 pistons with engine tech

rings and bearings hope it will give that hit

    im lookn for

  • Love your sound man. What kind of torque converter did you go with and how is it holding with your motor and cam setup?

  • would the bullets give more cam cackle than flowmaster 40's? i figured they would cuz the flows are more resonation than anything. should i get 2 1/2 or 3 inch bullets for a 2 1/2 pipe system?

  • I would think the Flows give more cackle and the bullets would make it sound deeper. I dont dont like Flowmaster because they are more about sound than performance.

  • i used to have flows dumped on my camaro then i changed it to 2.5 race bullets the flowmasters had alot more bass to it and the race magnums are fuckin' loud as hell and had alot more cackle the bullets flow more but i think the flowmasters sounded alot better, gotta luv that chambered sound . i want to change the bullets out to a another chambered muffler but don't want flowmaster ,not sure which is best.

  • how is this cam for daily driving

  • Great. Real close to stock.

  • ok thanks

  • what do you have for a rotating assembly?

  • you gotta love that cam... it's definitely a head turner.

  • How much HP is that thing pumping out? I have a similar setup in my 92 s-10 and it makes about 390-400

  • Im guessing around 400 or a little more.

  • non mandrel bent tubes not good.

  • No no, they are mandrel bent its just the turn downs at the end are not mandrel bent. They are add ons I got from the parts store to direct the exhaust down. Thats not going to affect performance. The whole exhaust is new except the headers but they are fairly new.

  • That sound is music to my ears!.., Great car!

  • jeeez!! holy orange!! lol! sounds amazing!!

  • also, that dinky 2000rpm stall is garbage....step up to 2800-3000 stall, you'll be a lot happier....imho!

  • would sound way better with full tailpipes on it!

  • I put full tailpipes on it and took them off. I liked the dumps better.

  • man that thing is nice

  • sweet thats powersteering. can u do me a HUGE favor? i need a pic of ur accessory setup so i can see the mounting brackets for the powersteering pump. mine isnt lining up right with the crank pulley. can u do that?

  • keep it locked up brother..hahahaha.... shes sweet man...

  • nice build brother

  • that stall is to small for that cam, you need a 2500 to 3000.That's what i have.

  • It is but I dont plan on launching it so I'll be fine with it.

  • Until you get that itch at the red light! LOL! Nice Chevelle!

  • nice ride. i got a bm ll cam in my 77' f100 an i run dynomax race bullets also. my setup is 302 with flowtech headers, 284 bmll cam with .488lift, ford racing 4bbl intake, 650holley, cloyes timing gear, and soon to have some e-street heads when i get the dinero. i'll post a vid soon

  • Can you get some vids of it by walking around after its warmed up and some driving vids?

  • Nice Chevelle sounds pretty good. For future reference though keep the camera a little farther away from the car that away it doesn't pick up so much resonance. When your walking around it goes away.

  • Yeah I figured that out. Thats why I took shots of it under the car and further away so I wouldnt have to come back and video it again. Thanks.

  • hey i got a lunti 292 cam in my truck but im not sure if its a bracket master 2 cam go check out my vid of it runnin open headers and see what you think does lunati even have a 292 cam other than the bm 2 cam?

  • what brand is your stall converter?

  • Boss Hogg.

  • i also shoved on a peter jackson gear drive and a old Erson hi flow 2 solid ,left the old flat tops and X rods with stock bolts ,(it was a 010 4 bolt) MILDly ported the stock valve 461 double humps ,added some LT1 springs with some crane rollers ,a swap meet Holley strip dom, and 750 HP holley DP !!!!

behind it was a 3800 stall (coz thats what i got cheap) and a 3.89 9" ! in a car the size of yours IT HAULED ASS!!! aaannnnddd revved to 8000 on a couple of sideways occasions

  • HEY NICE CAR and motor!! not long ago i sold a car with an 350 that was not run in 20 years looked like it was from a scrap heap! ( the engine that is) in 2 weeks i pulled this junker down , degrease'd the block THATS ALL,honed it witha brush hone wacked some king bearings and sealed power rings and bearings in ,

    see next message lol

  • love your car. im building a hot 355 for my elco right now.

  • sounds great dude. looks like a great project car, and im guessing body work is next?

  • Actually doing a cam install, headers, and other things on my LT1 now.

  • youre going to need more converter and more gear. at least a 3000 stall for a heavy car like that with 4.10 gears.

  • Your absolutely right but only if I was racing it which Im not. It pulls real good down low even with the stock gears so Im sure 3.73 will be fine for a weekend car.

  • Nice job. This is exactly the sound I want from my motor. You gave me a great base line to start with. Should sound awesome with my big block

  • oh my god that thing sounds good i wonder if those mufflers with fit my flowmasters cause i would switch them cause i pulled my engine for the winter and going to rebuilt it my engine guy is going to put a solid lifter cam in it should be loapy like yours so i want it to pur like a kitten ;)

  • hey yeah nice chevelle, it does sound similar to my nova kinda. i have the Summit Glasspacks (people say they're sounder than the dynomax) my cousin runs the dynomax and my car is just slightly louder than his. they're nice though. keep postin some videos. my car is sittin in the shop until spring now. thinkin about mini-tub or somthing. deffinantly nitrous though. hoping to break 10's

  • Thanks man. I just recently got a free 12 bolt rear so Im happy about that. Gotta get rid of the crappy 8.2 10 bolt thats in it. If I can break into the 11's one day NA I would be happy.

  • Sounds nice but you'll need a higher stall than 2k if you are going to switch to 3.73 gears. What are the flow #s for the 64cc heads?

  • Thats a nice combo. It sounds like a racecar.

  • i love your car man! you did a very nice job! sounds awesome!!

  • Im building a 355 mill myself for my 72 chevelle. how much HP do you think your pullin? hows the throttle response with that cam?

  • Im not sure about the H.P. but the throttle response is better than expected even with the stock gears, 3.07 I think. It will really scream when I get 3.73 gears. The power range is broad. It has alot more low end power than I was expecting but really moves in the upper RPM's. Its exactly what I wanted.

  • what is the part number for that cam?

  • Lunati Part # 00010

  • sounds mean, but when are you gonna do the body work???

  • One day. I have 2 other cars with nice paint jobs, ones a show car, and you get tired of having to worry about them and keep them clean. I want to have some fun with this one w/o having to worry about some asshole opening the door on it. It looks alright going down the road from a distance lol.

  • Love that rough idle!

  • Nicely done! Gotta love those bullets

  • Hey man that sounds really good im glad you got it running finally by the way im jealous lol the car i want is around a 69 chevelle lol so you enjoy that beast alright have fun.

  • Hahaha thanks buddy! Ive been having some fum with it alright! Lots of people trying to race me at the stoplights.

  • Lol well have fun and just watch out for those bluelights.

  • Nice using the holley street dominator. I'm soooo tired or seeing performer rpms on everything. Holley does make intakes and owns weiand too. I had the old original street dominator back in the 80s. It was a single plane with dual mounting pattern for square and spreadbore carbs. I ran a qjet. I love the sound on the big secondaries opening!

  • Me too. This ones a dual plane.

  • But you do have edelbrock covers and air cleaner.

  • Yeah they were on the old engine when I bought the car. They get the job done and the valve covers are the ones that come off without any tools.

  • I do like how you tried to de different. Hard to do with a 350.

  • Nice cam, sounds very similar to the thumpr when idling. I know what it takes to get to the first start, so I'm happy for you. Good luck with the project and have fun driving it, that's what it's all about!
