I walked off the train and into New York City for the first time in years and my iPod decided to play this as I looked out onto the gorgeous urban landscape
i still play sim city 4, but liked the old sc3 music better, so i downloaded this song, and imported it into my sc4 custom tunes. now its just like old times :)
I LOVE this song, and used to always select it when I was building "Ye Olde Towne of Jim". I listen to it on my Ipod nearly everyday since working at the airport reminds of playing this edition of Sim City. (Had trouble with airports <.<)
Anyways yea, I LOVE the song, and I love how the piano, clarinet and Violin get a solo during the song. I fookin love it! X3
SimCity 3000 was, in my opinion, the last true Sim game. The Sims, while fun, just didn't seem like a Maxis game. Well, aside from the countless llama jokes.
Don't get me wrong--I enjoy the EA Sim games, but they just don't have that charm, eclectic style, and addictiveness as Maxis' early works had. I remember one time, I actually played SimCity 2000 for 14 hours on end, not even realizing it!
I was looking for this; thank you. I've been humming this song for an unknown number of years now. I always new it was a 'Sim' song, but I never realized it was from Sim City 3000. I probably identify any Sim game the most with this song.
超なつかしい。このBGM、大好きでした。

I liked the mechanics of SC4, but the atmosphere of SC3 was superb. The news ticker, the Not-The-Sims advisers, and especially the music.

I'm no expert on music, but damn, that just made me want to learn the clarinet. So much freedom and energy. Whoever played that is awesome. :)

though lets be honest, The Sims 2, soundtrack-wise, was very reminiscent of Sim City 3000. But damn, this theme brings me back so many memories...
