@vesh777 You forget that he also coached when there were ties, so you can't just go W/GP to get a winning percentage. Before joining the leafs, he was 518-472-101 (OTLs included in Ls). That also includes coaching the expansion Mighty Ducks for their first 4 years (and getting them into the playoffs). He's somehow still 2 games above .500 after 3 seasons with the TERRIBLE Leafs team he inherited when Sundin 'retired'. They should be a winning team this year, though ;)

Every single player on the Leafs who played more than 10 games played on the PP at some point. The fact that you're criticizing him because he put a guy on the ice for a PP for less than 3 minutes is stupid.

Toskala was playing nowhere near amazing in net. Wilson decided to mix it up by throwing in a goalie who is much better in shootouts to try and get a win against a tough Anaheim team. He didn't, but you can't blame him for trying. It's not like the Leafs scored either...

Ron Wilson's tenure with the Maple Leafs is not only about rebuilding this hockey club (2+ years to do it), it's also about KICKING the soap boxes from out beneath the overly tenacious Toronto media.

Calling it in the regular season would just make other teams feel no remorse in giving it right back to the Leafs.

yes he has. he knew that the leafs wouldnt make the playoffs so he dealt away antropov and moore and got 3 draft picks. for this season he hasnt really done anything but hes already doing things for next. and he did bring in may and hes helped alot signed a couple young guys and picked up gerber off waivers and hes working out alot better for them then he did for the sens. so yeah burke has done something
