  • How To Do That On An External Drive

  • Thanks for making the effort. The resolution and the sound are a minor issue but your explanation was pitched at the right level. It seems to me that Youtube training videos must be having a big effect on global productivity. I don't know how many times they have helped me in that past couple of years. I will look out for any others you post up.

  • when I update it gves me the old 404 D=

  • i dont get 2:07

  • just try this.

sudo aps-edit update ( then press enter)

  • good video. just some mild criticism, the volume is too low and the screen resolution is way too low, can't read anything and had to plug my laptop into a stereo to hear it well.

  • great Job , I am a recent convert to UBUNTU. I installed it last week and so far I love it.

I would l like to thank for your efforts , I will continue to learn and thank again

  • Hi this is really useful thank you. And by the way does anyone knows how to play videos. Coz aparrently I can't play any video using ubuntu/linux os, it says that there are sme codes missing or something.

  • Are you using VLC Media Player? If you are try switching the mode to OpenGL. If you aren't using VLC then you should be.

  • Install flash as explained in this tutorial

  • i do but i dont think u need to no now but if u do pm me

  • so software for linux have no .exe? you have to use the command line to install them? im interested in linux but no nothing about it

  • No there are not any .exe files when dealing with linux programs. .exe is the extension for "windows executable file" and of course you are now on linux, not windows.

  • gud stuff...

  • I remember when installing programs was a pain GOOD TIMES

  • thank-you for adding this. Im new to Ubuntu/Linux os I do think the platform is very confusing since I'm coming from windows. I'd love to know how to add a program for Ubuntu downloaded from a site. It's not in add/remove or synapmanager, there's no option to go the the directory and add it to the list.

  • hi..i understand that this could be a bit overwhelming at first...first of all..try to find a ".deb" file that you want to download. When you get that, just download it (it gets downloaded by default to desktop). Right click and select "Open with GDebi Package installer".On top right side, u will get the "install package" option if its installable. Click on that and enjoy!

  • it might be worth talking about the packages "ubunbtu-restricted-extras", "libflashsupport" and "nspluginwrapper" if you're going to talk about installing mp3 and flash support. Other than that I like what you did. How did you record your voice and your screen?

  • not the best talk on installing restricted software - it might be worth making a video explaining the command line and how to install the "ubuntu-restricted-extras" package - something a new user is always looking for. Plus it would be good to talk about nspluginwrapper and libflashsupport. Other than that I like what you did. How did you record your screen and voice?

  • I have 2 sata drives and when I switch to the windows one, the hour and date are changed. Do you get the same thing?
