Was one of the guys working there and opening this up... Even though I look back and think 'Jesus what he hell was I doing with all that cheering and stuff' it was a great experience. Thanks for the video, it's a nice reminder of my time there.
This is actually quite good, and a reminder that Apple were not going to limit these stores to Sydney and Melbourne only like people put up rumours last year, no doubt fueled by people in those cities insanely jealous. It's a good store, some of the staff are a bit rude but much better than Bondi Junction's store.
I a tech nerd and love the hoopla of a new gadget or gadget emporium, but standing in line (and a long line at that) to get into an apple store? More power to them, but that's a level of nerdish I'll likely never understand; and then the shirt unboxing? Then again I sat here and watched a 7+ minute video about it.
I had a mate stay over the night before so it was good to catch up and chill out. There was good atmosphere while we waited, we were all willing to talk to each other and share a laugh or 2, received a free breakfast, watch the morning unfold as more and more people lined up. We all had a fun morning. Eventually the store opened and we got to enjoy the over the top fanfare which was fun, got free shirt & bought a couple of goodies! Why did we do it? Because we had a great time in doing so!

Was everyone else's shirt an XL?
I was quite annoyed when I opened my box and found somethign that would have been better suited as a parachute than a piece of apparel :P
