  • Two words. This flows.

  • Nice playing! The hi-hat looks tilted a little bit towards you, what hi-hat stand is that? I only know Tama makes them.

  • @SimonBak90 its a mapex janus 2-legged stand. Works really well, although i'm wanting a dw 9000 to match my kick pedals!

  • @dave90mckeague Alright, thanks!

  • What Ride are you using?

  • @inthebasement2112 hey there! the ride is my prototype 3-point ride. I got it from the vault tour 2009 at memphis drum shop. It was soon after released and put into production as Jack Dejohnettes new ride.

  • @dave90mckeague

    Thanks man, sounds great!

  • @inthebasement2112 im getting another one made for me by sabian themselves! can't wait to get it in december. Vids will be up as soon as i get it

  • hey man, awesome drummin, have you got lessons in the past? and if not, how did you practice? infact, even if you did get lessons, how could i improve my playing? fills etc :) thanks

  • @KeirJames yeah i get lessons with the course i'm doing at uni. My teachers great, he's an old bop guy. He's really pushed my technique forward. the best way to improve and practise is simply to practise what you can't yet do! ie, concentrate on one lick/groove/exercise etc and play it 'till you can't get it wrong (not just 'till you get it right)

  • Define pocket drumming I don't really get the concept haha. And how long have u been playing. Great stuff dude good job!

  • @metricvip74 when you play in the pocket you couldn't do anything else to make the beat better in the context. obviously its not easy to do this in a solo but basically i was trying to concentrate more on groove than chops.

iv bin playing about 6 years now, loving every minute! thanks man

  • i like da sound of dat snare

  • @drumplaya94 its awesome aint it!

check out guru drumworks if you can, you wont be dissapointed. Dean Price knows what he's doing with drums, and his steam bending is second to none.

  • Bubinga and purple heart. Did you know that they are the 2 most common woods to make a bow out of? Sounds great BTW.

  • Niiice. Beautiful snare.
