I didn't get to watch this yet but I'm going to in a little bit, but I would like to comment on the controversy above about whether christian rap or whatever type of music is sinful. I would have to say it only is when you don't have God's interest first in your mind and do it only for your image above all or at all in some cases. God knows your true intentions. I love christian hardcore bands like "For Today" because they're all about the word of Christ while keeping it straight metal hahaha

Firstly, for anyone who is at the level they are at and does not know about this, they are not held accountable until they know, so it's not to judge anyone.

Using worldly methods to put in Christianity is a sin because God does not use things which does not agree with himself. The Bible says:

Joh 7:7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

mixing godly with worldly i would say is a sin

but isnt what we call gospel music today, when that came on the scene back in the early 1900s people hated that because they were saying the same things.. modern day gospel was a mix of hyms and praise mixed w/ jazz music..

I believe the question is based on whether the lyrics was based on the music or was the lyrics based on the experience. For it to have added music to the song is what the issue is based on. Hope that made sense bro

@Jondadon2006 What are you referring to as worldly methods? Types/Genres of music? This must be clarified because much of what the church uses to proclaim the gospel comes from the world. The church does not seem to be ahead in many areas of advancement as a matter of fact when you look through history the church seems to be picking up a using methods developed by worldly persons. I find this argument to be unbalanced. When Christ came he did not do many things according to "church" methods.

@Jondadon2006 What is God music? Country and Western? Classical? These are all genres. Even the 'good old' gospel music is not a genre on its own. I believe that the devil is using hip-hop to bring esp youth down to hell but is the problem with the genre or the content? If there ever comes a time when classical music becomes a tool in the hand of the devil like hip-hop hip-hop is being used what will we say then? We need to make the distinction between tools and their use.

This came to my head when I was listening to adventist researchers explaining the shaking and ecumenical movement and the jesuit agenda...and one of the big things that they will be trying to suppress is the 3 angels message...and anyone who follows this message will be in trouble...also they will try and repeat what happened in history and the dark ages to everyone who wants to stand for God with primitive faith
